Talent Quest

Last Monday evening the 2014 Talent Quest Final

was held at the Parkes High School Hall. The hall

was filled with supporters all keen to watch the

night’s proceedings.

The performers were both excited and nervous

about performing in front of a large audience, but

they soon forgot their nerves once they were on

the stage performing.

All the acts were of a high standard and it was

obvious they were well prepared as they were

dressed in colourful costumes and knew their

routines. The audience was not disappointed with

the night’s entertainment.

There were three judges for the finals,

Miss Ann Wildman, Miss Rhonda Harpley and

Mr Malcolm Bruce who were all impressed with

the standard of each act. This made the task of

judging quite a challenge.

Here are the winners from the Talent Quest

Finals:

Stage 1 - Thomas Burkitt, Paul Richter

and Danilo Bottaro-Porter performed a

lively dance routine to the popular song

- ‘Lets Get Ridiculous’.

Stage 2 - Heidi McPherson captivated

the audience with her ballet routine

from ‘Swan Lake’.

Stage 3 - A troupe of dancers

consisting of Isobella McCrae, Tilly

Basman, Kayla Swetland, Ruby

Dawson and Taylor Hawken had all

the audience tapping their feet to an

old favourite song ‘Jail House Rock’.

Congratulations to all the winners and well done

to everyone who had the courage to enter the

2014 Talent Quest.

Thank You

Class 4/5L would like to say a big thank you to

Mrs Bottaro-Porter for presenting us with a digital weather station kit.

We are now able to show wind speed and temperature at

any time. We are looking at humidity, air pressure, forecasting the weather and much, much more.

Thank you to

Mrs Bottaro-Porter. We are really

appreciating all the

different activities we can now do with

regards to the weather. Thank

you.

They were very professional and

entertaining as Radio Announcers.

We would like to

say a big thank you to the Lachlan

Valley Radio show for the amazing

opportunity.
