Welcome to all our families and riders to the May Showjumping Spectacular and Special Event. Don’t forget as discussed we will be holding our competition this Sunday and organising a specialist clinic for our riders before the end of June in lieu of this rally. So a big weekend ahead of us – for all the families that nominated to attend this working bee please make sure you will be hands on and attending on Saturday and also any extra members that would be able to help would be much appreciated!! Last Rally in April we held our AGM and as a strong and positive club and the willingness of our families we filled most of the positions needed. Firstly I would like to welcome Jenny Wilhelm as our new District Commissioner. Amie has done a fantastic job in this role in the last 12 months and due to her overseas holiday we needed to fill this position – Amie has now handed this role over to Jenny. At the June rally we will introduce all our new committee members and the minutes of the AGM are always posted in the clubrooms for your information. Please remember to read Out’n’About to hear all about our Musical and Games Teams that recently competed at Dingly Pony Club for the State Qualifiers – Congratulations to Sally, all our girls and their families for all their dedication, time and effort – and we also cant wait to see what happens at the State Horse Trials Competition in Deniliquin this weekend as we have one of our members - Bek Staindl who will be competing in Grade 2 – Good Luck Bek !!! We will be thinking of you on Saturday and Sunday and wishing you all the best!!! DC Report May… A warm welcome to Jenny Wilhelm who is our newly appointed DC. You all know Jenny as our Events Organiser who does an amazing job and will bring all her knowledge and skills into the role of DC. Remember to put your grading requests in early and communicate with Jen if you are not going to be at a rally or any other issues before the day via email at [email protected] Welcome to all the new committee members and a huge thank you to all the people who have helped at the club over the past year. All families are expected to be at the SJ comp this Sunday as it is normally a rally, even if your child is not competing. We need all hands on deck to ensure a successful day. Make sure your entries are in and contact Jenny Wilhelm with any questions. Have a go, great prizes, great raffle and food including a cake stall. Bring your friends and family along to watch the best sport in the world – Top Score is entertaining as the rider chooses their own jumps course! Enter in the Special Event to try something different on your home ground. Mini Tooradin Horse Trials are fast approaching, on May 26th. Mini Tooradin Horse Trials include a dressage test, show jumping course and a cross country course for Grade 3, 4 and Grade 5 riders. The entry form is sent in by the club with one cheque so you will have to pay the $45 fee to Saskia de Wit on Sunday 5th May so the entry can be posted in time. You will also need to let me know via email or phone 0488 00 57 56 if you are entering. Grade 3 and 4 riders enter as a Team, if we don’t have 4 riders you are part of a composite team. The first three Grade 5 riders are guaranteed a place and then the remaining are balloted so get in early! The families rostered on for their once a year zone duty are Huxham, Wilhelm, Elflick, Jennings-Allen, Phelan, Henderson, Webb, McNulty, Williams, Clark, and Wiltshire. Helpers will be needed for the working
bee on the 18th at 9am, set up on Saturday 25th at 9am and cross country judges for the Sunday 26th. You will receive further information from Susanne Wolswinkel, if not so already. Also, the Expression of Interest for PCAV Inter Zone Horse Trials (Team Challenge) 27-28 July 2013 to be
held at Yarrambat Pony Club form is on the SMZ wesite. The Interzone challenge is for Grade 3 and 4 Horse

Out and About Results Welcome – if you are out there competing in PCAV, EFA, Inter-School or Open comps we would love to hear about how you are doing! These results encourage our clubs younger riders to
get out there and give it a go! AND you deserve the credit for your efforts!
A great day was had at Dingley with Monbulk represented by two musical and one games team.
Flower Power (Janis, Holly, Grace and Molly) placed 6th and Celtic Knots (Jasmine, Laura, Erica and Shannon) placed 7th. Our intrepid games team (Grace, Molly, Erica, Janis, Paige, Holly and Jasmine) put on a very competent display
with great sportsmanship and were thrilled with their 6th place rosettes.
A big thank you as always to Sally for her dedication and expertise in preparing the teams over the last 3 months, to all the parents for making the effort to get to the practices, and in particular to Ian Thomas, Karen Malerba, Laura Zunica and Jenny Dexter who came along to represent MPC as our club volunteers and were lane stewards, gate marshals
and gear check.
Bek riding Kiwi competed at Yerrinberg Horse Trials yesterday and came in fifth in Grade 2.(a mere two points behind the girl who came in second!)
It means she has now qualified for the State Horse Trials in Deniliquin on
May 4th and 5th.
