League meetings are usually held the 1st Monday of the month (except holidays & special events) at a member’s establishment somewhere in the county, decided by attending members at a previous meeting. Each attending member donates $10 to the hosting establishment. This money is used for drinks during the meeting, & food that the hosting establishment puts out after the meeting. After the meeting is adjourned, the bar becomes a cash bar. Any ATTENDING member has a chance to host an upcoming meeting. However, the host bar MUST be closed to the public from 2pm until the

meeting is adjourned.

Portage County Tavern League Spring Fundraiser Criteria

The bidding establishment must be large enough to comfortably accommodate 300-400 people (Attendance in the past has averaged between 270 to 350 people).

The facility must have a microphone system available throughout the dining room, bar area & entire building.

The package will have an open bar served from 6pm-Midnight as set forth below:

All Bar Rail Drinks: Anything that can be made with your rail liquor. Examples: Manhattans, Martinis, Old Fashions, Gimlets, Bloody Marys, etc. (excluding blender drinks).

All Call Drinks: Examples: J Bavet, Korbel, Dr. McGillicuddy (all flavors), Southern Comfort, Bacardi, Cap-tain Morgan, Malibu, Baja Rosa, Smirnoff, Canadian Club, Canadian Mist, Early Times, Kessler, Jim Beam, Mount Royal Light, Overholt Rye Whiskey, Seagrams, Windsor, Jose Cuervo, Skyy.

Wines: White Zinfandel, Rose, Chardonnay, Merlot, Moscato, Cabernet, Lambrusco, Rhine & Pino Grigio

Malt Beverages: Examples: Smirnoff Ice, Twisted Tea’s, Hard Lemonades, Bacardi’s
