MOMA Scholarship Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA ) offers scholarships for the students who belong to the minority community and are in need of financial assistance in order to complete their higher studies. It’s a Merit cum Means Scholarship available for candidates belonging to communities having Minority status i.e. Zoroastrians, Jains, Sikhs, Muslims and Buddhists. MOMA Scholarship is offered for candidates who are pursuing Bachelor or Master Level courses in any of the following fields of study: Engineering, Architecture, MBBS, Veterinary Sc. & Animal Husbandry, Charted Accountant, CS, ICWA, Medical & Para Medical Courses, Fashion Technology, Design, Pharmacy, Law, Management and Masters in Computer Applications. Depending on the population of Minority community of the state, allocation of funds is done by Government of India allocates fund for the MOMA Scholarship. Keeping in view the status of the Minority Class MOMA Scholarship is offered for students going for Undergraduate courses after their class 12. Let us have a look at the eligibility and other details related to the MOMA Scholarship: Eligibility: o Academic Qualification: The students must have cleared class 12 examination from any recognized Board or University and with a minimum percentage of 55 percent. o Family Income: The Annual family income of the family of the student must not be greater than Rs. 2.5 lakh from all sources. o Place of Study: The student must pursue their studies in India only. o Eligible Courses: The candidate must undertake any of the following courses: Engineering, Architecture, MBBS, Veterinary Sc. & Animal Husbandry, Charted Accountant, CS, ICWA, Medical & Para Medical Courses, Fashion Technology, Design, Pharmacy, Law, Management and Masters in Computer Applications. Reservation: o Under MOMA Scholarship , 30% of the scholarships will be offered to female candidates belonging to Minority Community.

the remaining scholarships will be given to males belonging to the Minority Community.

Rewards:o Duration: The scholarship will be offered for a period of 10 months in

every year.o Maintenance Allowance: The maintenance allowance of MOMA

Scholarship will be paid directly to the students and it depend upon the status of the students i.e. hostlers will get Rs.10,000 P.A while day scholars will get Rs.5,000P.A.

o Course Fee: The course fee will be paid directly to the institution and the amount of scholarship will cover the actual amount of course fee up to Rs.20,000.

Application:o Mode of Application: The candidates need to make online application

for the scholarship.o IDs: Initially students will be provided with temporary IDs for the

application process and in case the candidate is selected for the scholarship, in that case permanent IDs will be given to the candidates.
