Genie II is a compact, lightweight and robust instrument.®

The device has two heating blocks. The blocks can be

controlled independently. The instrument boasts low power

requirements and includes a rechargeable Lithium-Polymer

battery that can keep it running for a full working day.

Genie II is controlled from a large TFT LCD display with®

resistive touch screen that can be operated while wearing

protective gloves. From this interface the instrument can be

set to run any eazyplex test.®

The data entry can be optimized with a barcode scanner.

The detection of the data is displayed graphically and in real-

time during a run and all of the data is held in the

instrument’s large internal FLASH memory. This data is

permanently stored and can be reviewed on the high-

resolution display at any time after the run has finished,

printed via a labelwriter or exported as a PDF file via a USB

link. Full HIS/LIS connectivity is provided.

The eazyplex test system is a freeze dried amplification reaction®

which is ready to use and can be stored direct at the workplace at

room temperature; no extra preparing of buffers or reactions.

The eazyplex system needs no DNA/RNA extraction. A simple®

2 min cooking prepares the sample* for the testing. (*nasal /

pharyngeal / wound / vaginal and rectal swabs, urine, bacterial

culture, stool, positive blood culture and CSF)

During amplification signals are shown on the display in real-time.

The specific amplification peaks are reported in the result file,

including all run data e.g. patient ID, run profile, date and user and

can be directly printed via a labelwriter.

The paraplex technic allows fast target updates and provides you

with up to eight findings in one test run.
