Summary

In this presentation are summarized the results of the project implementation by the Moldova State University since October 2010 till October 2013.

We mention that all planned activities by the Project for this period were realized.

Status quo report

Status Quo Report was elaborated by the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of MSU in the terms provided by the project (March-April 2011) and was presented to European partners in April 2011.

The copy of Status Quo Report was posted on the MSU Tempus project site.

The new Master Program

The new master program “Family centered social policies” was developed during May-November 2011.

The MSU Senate approved the master program on December 27, 2011.

The new master dossier was approved by Ministry of Education on March 12, 2012.

The copy of the master curriculum was posted on the MSU Tempus 2010 project site.

Teaching and Learning Center

The purchased equipment (12 laptops, server, LED projector, wall screen, local WiFi network etc.) was installed at the Teaching and Learning Center.

The Center is used since January, 2012 for different kind of activities, including teaching process for new master program.

Project website

During spring 2012 the project WEB-site tempus2010.usm.md was elaborated. There are posted all information about project activities, an electronic library containing the books elaborated by professors of our faculty, other learning materials.

Training the trainers

The professors involved in the teaching process have participated at courses, organized in the frame of project:

at University of Cumbria (May, 2011) at Royal Institute of Technology KTH (October, 2011) at Cluj University (February, 2012)

Elaboration of courses

From beginning of 2012 year the professors involved in the teaching process at new master program (1st year) elaborated the courses, methodical and didactical materials. This process is continuing by professors who will teach the 2nd year courses.

Students of the new Master Program

Admission to the new master's program took place in July-August 2012. As a result of competition, a group of 20 students was formed at our faculty.

In 2013 was admitted the second group at the same master's program: 17 students.

Activities/results dissemination (1)

The dissemination of project activities was realized by different ways:

by presenting the information about the project at the meetings of students and faculty departments, at the Faculty Council, at MSU Senate, at conferences;

by editing and distributing of posters and leaflets;

Activities/results dissemination (2)

by publishing information on project implementation in the MSU newspaper “Universitatea” and, also, posting respective information on the MSU and project websites;

by creating a stand on the project at the faculty;

Activities/results dissemination (3)

by participation at interim Tempus conference (Tbilisi, Georgia) with communications;

by informing about the Tempus project and new master program during the Visit Days at MSU (each spring) etc.

Teaching tour In the period 16 - 20

September 2013 at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of Moldova State University (MSU) took place the training "Understanding and applying research in practice". The training was intended for the master students from specialties, opened within this project: "Family-centered social policies" from the State University of Moldova and " Management of public health " from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "N.Testimitanu".

Final Conference

Final conference of the project (September 23-25) has become from the end point of the project to the starting point of new plans and collaborations.
