It shows the extent of your research and lets theexaminer see that you have done sufficient work.

It shows that you are aware of and have used a widevariety of information sources. It shows that you have taken care to use information

which is up to date. It is a record of which books etc. you have read and

makes it easier to find those sources again shouldyou need them later. People will have more confidence in your work if they

know where your information comes from; takingcare with your references suggests that you havetaken care to check your facts as well.

It is professional and good practice to produce abibliography especially if you intend to progress forscientific Publications.
