NEW TUNNEL ROUTE PROCESS IN DATASPLICE
• Challenges:
• DataSplice app storage limit
• Workaround: Safari
• Reminding to sync
• Benefits:
• Improved meter history in
Maximo
• Tracking info that was lost
during paper inspections
• Forces employees to keep
up with administrative work
in Maximo to keep system
clean – data limitations
‘police’ user behavior

DESCRIPTION OF DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, IMPLEMENTATION
• Development:
• Started immediately after the DataSplice Implementation
• Customer became energized by the first project and was anxious to jump in on
the rounds
• The framework of the process in DataSplice had been discussed during go-live
of implementation
• Made development go very quickly – we had already done discovery
• New views were created in DEV, migrated to QA for testing
• Testing:
• Any issues in testing would be addressed in DEV and rolled to QA
• Once the business owner signed off we moved to PROD
• Implementation:
• Soft launch
• Customer did inspection rounds parallel to the paper process and then
moved techs to iPads/DataSplice
