business is very important because it is necessary for us to understand the topics on organization. Each organization has its own distinct goal or purpose. A key issue in accomplishing the goals that will be identified in the planning process is structuring the work of the organization. Organization will be defined as a group of people, with ideas and resources, working toward common goals

(As a preparation for the next topic, the facilitator will ask the students to divide the whole class into four (4) groups. Each group will be tasked to create one small business organization to be managed by them.)

Consider the following:• Business Name• Goal or Purpose• Nature or line of Business• Capitalization (Ways on how to raise the said amount)• No. of employees (what positions?)

(This activity will help and prepare students for the next topic about organization and its role in the individual and the economy as a whole. Students must present their own understanding about the organization.)

brought and pooled out their resources together to achieve certain goals that the same individual could not reach alone.

• A deliberate arrangement of people to accomplish some specific purpose.

Charateristics of Organization

• Each organization has a distinct purpose typically expressed in terms of goal or a set of goals that it hopes to accomplish

• It is composed of people working together necessary for the organization to achieve its goals.

• Organization develops a certain deliberate structure so that the members can do their work harmonously to lessen if not avoid conflict.

Selected students will present their report or assignment in the class. The facilitator will also include his/her own example which he downloaded from the internet to strengthen the concepts and knowledge of the students about these types of organizations.
