MODULAR FIXTURE SYSTEMS

TETRAFIX modular fixtures are a new type of versatile fixtures 100% adaptable to your needs and market leaders when it comes to construction time, versatility and stability. The fixtures are extremely easy to work with and can be constructed within hours to the highest precision with-out spending time on design. Build a new fixture in the afternoon or keep the fixture for years without it losing precision.

TETRAFIX modular fixtures are constructed out of unique telescope tripods, each with 6 degrees of freedom. Each reference point is easy to set-up and adjusted with TETRAFIX shimless calibra-tion to the highest precision in all steering directions. You can now build a reference point from scratch in a few minutes with a limited number of components. There is no longer a need to stock a large number of components you never use in the bottom of a drawer.

Setting up a reference point with TETRAFIX modular fixture solution is made in a few easy steps. Compared to other systems on the market construction is made from the work-piece to the base and not the other way around:1. Start by choosing the desired end effectors you need to fixate your work piece at each point. TETRAFIX standardised but versatile end effectors make it possible find the optimal solu-tion to your specific needs with a limited number of components. (page 3-9)2. Continue by selecting a tripod with the desired reach depending on the location of each specific reference point. (page 10)3. Finish by fixing the tripod with a joint adapted to a TETRAFIX plate or your existing table or wall depending on your preferences. (page 10-12)

Building the fixture is so simple that most of our clients skip the design phase. Make a rough adjustment with the tripod getting the position from your measurement equipment. Tighten the screws in the tripod to fixate it in the correct position. Finish of by fine tuning the point with TETRAFIX shimless calibration units independently in each steering direction.

TETRAFIX standard clamp for modular fixtures is suitable for most standard applications when customized reach is not necessary. Clamp can be delivered in stainless steel or black to minimize reflections.

TETRAFIX patented shimless calibration units offer calibra-tion independently in each steering direction. All directions are calibrated +-2mm with a single tool and desired RPS is added with our standard 20mm clamp.

EXTENDED CLAMPING

Extended clamping is used when TETRAFIX standard clamps are unable to reach desired point. The clamping can be combined to reach further into the work piece or around flanges, etc.

The telescopic tripod is the core of the TETRAFIX modular fixture system. The tripods exist in three different lengths and reach varies depending on the positioning of the feet.

Connector to join the tripod to a TETRAFIX plate. Special dimensions for other than TETRAFIX plates are available upon request. All connectors are delivered in set of three (complete for one tripod).
