Building a constant conversation culture across their

workforce that could embrace technology

Challenge

Followmont Transport is a family business that specialises in express transport, delivering goods to areas throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Feedback received through their annual employee engagement survey indicated that employees wanted more communication and transparency from the company. They needed a widely accessible, mobile platform that could communicate important transformation initiatives to employees to help a blue collar workforce embrace new, digital ways of working. In doing so, Followmont was aiming to create a continuous feedback culture and establish an agile work environment.

Solution

Followmont used Communic8 to segment their employees

and deliver targeted messaging to communicate the right

information to the right people. Through a series of

workshops, an internal communications strategy was

developed, that leveraged Communic8's pre-packaged

communications, mobile capability and analytics

functionality to optimise their employee engagement.

Impact

Followmont continued to use Communic8 beyond the

project as a way to drive a digitally adoptive culture within

their organisation. The increased awareness established

through Communic8's pre-packaged communications and a

repeatable framework that could be leveraged across other

tech initiatives, created a robust and powerful framework

within their organization.

Having a diverse team, in various locations, working at

different times, Communic8's mobile functionality helped to

convey messaging with a much wider reach. The ability to

tailor and personalise communications to each employee

type also meant staff felt more connected to the

business. Communic8's analytical functionality then gave

managers and executives an insight into employee

engagement levels, and matters needing closer attention.

As a result of the implementation, employees felt more

engaged, connected, and aligned to Followmont Transport's

business objectives, and embraced the new technologies

being introduced.

Subsequent to this, Followmont transport have continued to

roll out digital initiatives that align to their technology

roadmap, and bring their business in line with market trends

in operational tools and systems.

Enhancing experience for employees and candidates

Challenge

Ok Tedi Mining Limited (OTML) operates the longest running open-pit copper, gold and silver mine in Papua New Guinea, employing 1600 staff and 3000 contractors across various locations.

OK Tedi was in need of a partner to drive a greater digital experience for their internal employees, managers, recruiting teams and external candidates. Their aim was to streamline and reduce manual processes and improve the employee and manager experience by delivering a modern and intuitive solution with self-service capabilities. This required a targeted, open and transparent engagement strategy with our workforce, no matter where in the business they worked.

Solution

OK Tedi utilised Communic8 to more effectively communicate to their business about the changes with their recruitment system, analyse their employee engagement, and receive direct feedback in every interaction.

OK Tedi monitored the employee experience throughout the project to ensure they working in alignment with their

project objectives. Leveraging Communic8's pre-packaged communication accelerators aligned to a coordinated communication strategy, OK Tedi was able to quickly adapt the templates and engage with their stakeholders at key milestones throughout the project.

Impact

Beyond their internal experience, Communic8 was also used

to drive awareness towards their new solution and career

site to external candidates. The response received was

overwhelmingly positive, with over 170 messages received

and over 62% of career profiles directly linked to the

communication.

Communic8 was the enabler of OK Tedi's digital

transformation, giving them the confidence to continue

working in alignment with their digital roadmap for a greater

employee experience driven through targeted, meaningful

and measurable engagement of their workforce.
