Dear Parents Summer vacation is a break from fixed schedules, rules and regulations of the school. It’s time to enjoy and relax but it’s also the time when the children have to spend a lot of time indoors and it becomes a challenge to keep their minds busy. NATURE WALK WITH GRAND PARENTS/PARENTS (To connect with the beauty and benefits of nature) Go for morning/evening walk with your parents / grandparents in a park and click the photographs of different activities that u will do with them in the park.

DAD’S LITTLE CHEF (Cooking without flame) As dad has less time to spend with their tiny tots, so we have planned an activity, which will give more strength to their bonding. Cooking with kids is wonderful fun and rewarding whether you bake dessert or snacks. Let dads have fire less cooking with their little chefs and mothers have to click these beautiful photographs on mobile . Also taste the dish. It will be appreciated if both (dad & kid) wear aprons and chef caps. Hope the whole family has memorable activity.

Make a beautiful border on each sheet.

Paste the printouts of the pictures on different sheets.

Make the cover page of the album with pasting the family photograph.

Write the name, class, section at the bottom.

Your beautiful album is ready.

Project:2. TABLE MAT

Aim-Now-a-days manners and etiquettes are the most important part of

our day to day’s life. To enhance the creativity and inculcate the

cleanliness habits among the tiny tots, you can involve your ward to

make table mat in a creative way.

Process-

Take A -4 size pastel sheet of any colour.

Make a beautiful border.

Draw or take a big outline images from internet of fruits /

vegetables/healthy food etc

Use different vegetables (like onion , ladyfinger, capsicum, bitter gourd

etc ) for texture in the picture.

After making the mat , write name and the class at the back side of the

mat with a permanent marker.

Get your beautiful table mat laminated.

Cut the picture in a proper shape and paste it on A -4 size sheet.

PROJECT- 3 LETS BE ECO – FRIENDLY

In order to make children aware of uses of waste materials and to give them a lesson on reducing waste to save our future. An activity related to same “Best out of the waste” is given. “So”, when you are done with those used things, don’t throw them away, use them to make something awesome”.

CUTE PLANTERS WHAT YOU NEED : scissors, paints, paint brush, plastic bottle PROCESS:

Cut out bottle in half and use the bottom to make pits.

Cut out counters of ears with scissors.

Paint the bottles with any colour of your choice.

Customize prepared bottles with pet’s patterns.

Make small holes to fix the string.

Fasten the sting and put some plant inside. These cute planters will help you to be creative with waste bottles and also to get attached to the nature. Hang these planters every day in the day light to provide light and water them everyday to get them grow. Note: Bring the plant on 1.07.19.

PAPER PLATE ORGANIZER

WHAT WE NEED: 2 white paper plates, scissors, paints, fevicol, string PROCESS:

Take both the white paper plates. Cut one plate into 2 pieces.

Take half piece from the cut plates, and paste it on the another plate, by inside facing towards each other.

A pocket type organizer will be made.

Make any face of your choice with the paints.

Make holes on both sides of the organizer to tie the string in the holes.

And your paper plate organizer is ready to use. Keep your stationery items in the organizer and hang it anywhere you like in your room

BASKET FROM PAPER PLATES WHAT WE NEED : 2 white paper plates, paints(any colour), scissors, fevicol/glue PROCESS:

Paint any design of your choice on the White paper plate.

Once the paint is dry, use a ruler and pencil to draw a cross that meets in the centre of your plate.

Make half cuts on the lines drawn.

Then fold the paper plate as shown.

By using fevicol, paste the folded portion to make it of basket shape.

Use the second plate to make the handle.

Cut off half of the rim to give an arch, and using staple or fevicol, fix the handle with the basket. And your basket is ready to use.

WATER BOTTLE PIGGY BANKS

WHAT WE NEED : 1 Empty water bottle 1.5 litres, any colour paint, two small self stick googly eyes, pipe cleaner, 4 big beads, glue gun, scissors PROCESS:

On one side of the bottle, cut out a slit about 2 inches long and 1 ½ inch wide.

Paint the bottle with any colour of your choice.

Cut out 2 little pig ears from piece of coloured sheet and stick them on the bottle.

Stick 2 googly eyes on bottle as shown in the picture.

Stick beads at the bottom of the bottle to make pig’s legs.

Cut a short piece of pipe cleaner, twist it into spiral and stick at the back of the bottle to look like the pig’s tail.

Drop some money into your bank and start saving! This is a great repurposed craft to find a use for those plastic water bottles instead of cluttering our landfills.
