Overview
Complex Image Formation Systems The components involved in a system The Model The experiment and the data Conclusions
Hypothesis Hypothesis - A suite of modules
can be developed to model the various sources of MTF and noise of complex image formation systems.
Photon Noise
• Inputs – Weighting Function Size
– Percent Brightness
• Statistical Mean put into the Numerical Recipe’s Poisson Noise Generator
Detector MTF
• Detector Elements in the sensor system averages the input signal over the detector size in both the x an y directions
• Inputs– X, Y Detector Element Size– X, Y Fill Factor– Effective Focal length
