Why Choose Stainless Steel?•First and foremost it is superior at resisting corrosion over galvaneal and aluminum. Most galvaneal and aluminum metals will rust over time. Stainless will not and we provide a 20 year corrosion warranty – usually twice what others offer.•Second, stainless has a substantially higher tensile strength than galvaneal and aluminum while also maintaining a much greater resistance to failure when stretched and twisted (elongation). These are very important properties to consider in wildland applications.•Third, since S&S has specialized in stainless steel, the cost is often little more and sometimes less since many surfaces don’t need to be painted for corrosion protection.•The bottom line is you are very likely to get a longer service life out of stainless steel body than galvaneal or aluminum bodies, thus reducing your long-term costs.
