Mobility Project for Higher Education Students, European
countries with Partner Countries (Israel) 2020-2021
Overview
Erasmus+ is the new EU programme for Education, Training, Youth, and Sport for 2014-2020, funded by the European Commission. The official Erasmus+ webpage:http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/discover/index_en.htm.
Erasmus+ aims to modernize and improve higher education across Europe and the rest of the world.
It gives students and staff opportunities to develop their skills and boost their employment prospects.
Opportunities for students to learn abroad and opportunities for staff to undertake professional development activities, include teaching and training.
Documents to be submitted or uploaded
Please make sure that for all your certificates and study records, you submit
both the scanned original (signed and stamped by your home university) and
the authorized translation of the respective document into English (in case
the original is not issued in English or if it is not bilingual).
The documents that should be submitted include:
BACHELOR
1. Passport copy
2. CV
3. Learning Agreement (University of Haifa internal document, to be filled in
with information on the student and the home university, in the section
November 2019

13. Invitation letter from a professor at the host university that is willing to
guide you on your research

**Some of the agreements listed here are only valid for the Spring 2020 semester
***Please choose 2 or 3 options and we will do our best to accommodate your
choices, but there is no guarantee that you will be placed in your top choices.
If you wish to study abroad in the Spring semester 2020, your documents
must be submitted by NOVEMBER 24TH 2019.
For those wishing to study abroad in the Fall semester 2020-2021, your
documents must be submitted by JANUARY 1ST 2020.
Documents must be submitted to Avrit Rubin in one PDF file to:
[email protected] and 2 hard copies must be printed and submitted to
the international school office. All questions may be directed to either Avrit
Rubin ([email protected]) or Lilach Bareket ([email protected]).
* Students benefiting from an Erasmus+ mobility will not be charged any tuition fees
at the host university. Students will continue paying their tuition and registration fees
in their home university (university of Haifa).

Students will receive an EU grant as a contribution to their costs for travel and
subsistence during the period of study abroad
1) Travel costs
Based on the travel distance per participant, students and staff going to/coming from
partner countries will receive the following support for their travel costs:
Travel distances Amount
Between 100 and 499 KM: 180 EUR per participant
Between 500 and 1999 KM: 275 EUR per participant
Between 2000 and 2999 KM: 360 EUR per participant
Between 3000 and 3999 KM: 530 EUR per participant
Between 4000 and 7999 KM: 820 EUR per participant
8000 KM or more: 1100 EUR per participant
Travel distances must be calculated using the distance calculator supported by
European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-
plus/tools/distance_en.htm). The distance of a one-way travel must be used to
calculate the amount of EU grant that will support the round trip. The amount for the
travel costs will be transferred by the host university directly to the grantees’ bank
accounts (opened in Euro in the country of the host university bank).
