Mobilicom was chosen by a local system integrator to the nation as the key solution for the field trial, with Mobilicom’s MCU-200 units installed on helicopters and ground stations, creating a Mobile MESH communication network between all forces. The successful POC field trial also used augmented reality (AR) capabilities, providing the aerial and ground teams with a unified real-time situation awareness. This addresses one of the key challenges of situation awareness, being the communication between HQ, air and ground and the collection & sharing of unified real-time information. Alongside the system integrator customer, Mobilicom is now able to offer this system solution and target high-volume project wins in numerous jurisdictions. Following this successful POC field trial, Mobilicom has already began promoting the solution in other countries. The system solution provides an ability for security and rescue forces to handle emergency events and take critical decisions while observing the situation & covering large geographic areas. As such events involve multiple elements such as a situation room, mobile command post(s), helicopters, ground forces and ground or naval vehicles, Mobilicom’s flexible and mobile technology provides an ideal solution. The solution has potential across first responders and disaster relief, police & firefighters, boarder control & surveillance, critical infrastructure surveillance & security and coast guard search & rescue applications.
