JERUSALEM,Nov.5,2019–DuringaninvestorsummittodayatMobileye
headquartersinJerusalem,MobileyePresidentandCEOProfessorAmnonShashuaprojectedsignificantandsustainedrevenuegrowthforthenextdecade.TheforecastwasofferedwithinabroaderstrategyupdatethatincludednewdatapointsacrossMobileye’slinesofbusiness,anexpandedtotalavailablemarket(TAM)andnewcustomerannouncements.Attheevent,IntelCFOGeorgeDavisdescribedMobileyeasoneofthecompany’sstrategic,data-centricgrowthopportunities,whichisoutperformingIntel’sinitialexpectations.
“Intelisparticipatinginanexpandedandincreasinglydata-centricTAM,”Davissaid.“AsoneofIntel’sbigbets,MobileyeisacriticalpartofIntel’sfutureandisalreadyexceedingourexpectationswithADASrevenuetodaythatisfundingthefutureofdriverlesscars.”
Inthe2019’sthirdquarter,Mobileyeachievedanotherrecordquarterwith20percentrevenuegrowthyearoveryeardrivenbycontinuedadvanceddriver-assistancesystems(ADAS)momentum.AsoneofthemostsuccessfulacquisitionsinIntel’shistory,MobileyeisnowIntel’sfastestgrowingbusinessonanannualizedbasis.ThestrengthofMobileye’sbusinesstodayislargelyattributabletoarapidlyexpandingADASmarket,whileitsfuturebusinesswillexpandgreatlywithforaysintodatamonetizationandthenascentrobotaximarket.
“Mobileyeisuniquelycreatingeconomicandsocietalvalueeverydayofthejourneytofullyautonomousvehicles,”Shashuasaid.“OurADAStoAVstrategysetsusuptoplaythemarathongamewithself-fundingofR&DthatwillenableustoaddresskeysegmentsofasignificantTAMforADASanddataof$72.5billionandanestimated$160billionTAMforrobotaxisby2030.”
