June 2014 Mobile Area Orchid Society Affiliated with the American Orchid Society since 1950. It’s time for our annual picnic and plant ac- tion. Beth Cain has graciously offered her home on Mobile Bay as the location for the 2014 picnic and auction. This is a covered dish dinner and Beth will provide the meat (pork loin) so please check with Beth (232-8862) to ensure someone is not already bringing your dish. After everyone is full we will start the auction so please bring plenty of money or your checkbook and a lawn chair. Remember to prepare your plants for the auction the same way you would for a show. Make sure they are clean ,pest free ,no weeds and healthy. If your plant sells you will get half of the money with the society getting the other half.
