Thanks to your board
members this is all
falling into place.
The Fall Conference
has wonderful
speakers. There will
be 11.5 hours of CE
with two optional CE
hours on Friday.
This year we will be at
the beautiful
Arrowwood Resort in
Alexandria. I hope
that you plan on
attending and bring
your co-workers.
Watch for your
MNSGNA ballot in the
mail soon, and please
return them. SGNA
does ask that we give
them the percentage
of ballots returned.
Wow, it is hard to
believe that summer
is coming to an end
already! Our
summers are just too
short in Minnesota.
Your board members
know that as summer
ends, it is time to get
into full swing for the
Fall Conference,
MnSGNA Board
elections and the
revamp of our
website.
I would love to report
that we had 80%
involvement so
PLEASE RETURN
them.
I am also asking that
you consider running
for a board position
next year. It is a great
opportunity to get
involved and meet a
lot of great people
that have an interest
in GI nursing. You can
begin involvement by
volunteering for the
fall conference
planning committee.
I hope you enjoy the
last few days of
summer and join us at
the Fall Conference in
Alexandria in October.

Even with high
temperatures,
Phoenix was a
wonderful location
for the Annual
Course. Attendees
had the opportunity
to take advantage of
122 educational
sessions and up to
42.5 contact hours
per attendee.

The Annual Course wasn't
simply about attending the
educational sessions. It
was also about
reconnecting with friends
& meeting new GI
professionals from all over

SGNA does a wonderful job in
providing a top quality educational
course. There is also great value in
meeting & networking with other GI
nurses from all over the country. It isn’t
all work at a conference. There are many
opportunities to socialize & to see local
sites.
MnSGNA provides several annual
scholarships to attend the national
conference for MnSGNA members who
complete an application & meet the
requirements. At our fall conference one
member also can win a drawing for
$1000 toward the cost of attending the
Annual Course.
MnSGNA membership has advantages.
There are scholarships/grants for the
certification and re-certification fees.
There are also reduced registration fees
for attending the Regional Conferences.
See MNSGNA.com for more information.
