window..ii yelled "barack" a few times

him-lin, They CAUGHT SUSPECT #2, re "Boston Massacre"...what a day..in boston..I

monitored the radio all day..& they finally found the suspect in a backyard boat..took him

alive..: and U probably thought it was me, didn't you? Ha Ha, I haven't been to Boston in

years, & while I don't agree with everything America allows & defends (ie abortion, gay

marriage, etc), & think of myself more as a "Christian citizen" of the world, I still try to

improve our country via legal,civil,methods,rather than anything else. You can pass that onin prayer & care.

Jim-lin, why won't southern cal "local yokels" talk about current events such as

yesterday's bombing?...Its a strange phenomenon...similar to 9/11 when I was around

pasadena..the local yokels won't talk about it..

...example: I go into a bike shop this morning ..need a new seat for my little bike & I'm

browsing..then a customer service dude comes over..& I'm chatting w. him..& I find a seat

to buy...& he's "ringing me up" and I say "crazy...the boston bombing yesterday.." and he

doesn't respond..either he didn't know about it or for some reason wouldn't even say a

word about it..

...is it possible that some of these local yokels aren't even aware of world events around

them? Or is it that they are so intent on "controlling" their local milieu that they have to

ignore even major world events...?!

Re GAME 1: What a game ! Arizona led most of first half, then osu regained lead and held

it for most of 2nd half...then arizona tied it with ten seconds remaining..looked like maybe

overtime, but aaron craft took it down and dished it off to laQuinton ross..who aced athree-pointer for the win! Buckeye fans at staples center went crazy ! Incredible!

Re GAME 2: not a thriller..wichita state shockers easily defeated la salle...

Exciting that both Michigan & MSU are still in the action..too bad they couldn't play out

here,..and the cinderella team florida gulf state (from fort myers where I vacationed

once...when the Holwereda family invited me to visit...and I visited uncle joe & aunt chris

while I was there)

sports illustrated enlarged covers but no pics..just like grammy museum...so stupid when

catch a suns game..they beat the lakers on Monday (without kobe),..and theyre still

celebrating.., now can they beat the washington wizards? And how about the Heat? Are

Well I guess angels have to keep making moves. I always liked howie." Just goes to show

you should never assume the other person knows what their talking about.

*1pm,MY 1ST EVER MLB BASEBALL ! BLV IT OR NOT...I've been to many mlb

games, mostly angels but also almost every other team & stadium at least once, but have

never received a foul ball or one tossed into the stands by a player et al,..almost caught a

foul yesterday, but a few inches too far away..then today at dbacks v dodgers I watched

warmup in dbacks bullpen, & at the end the bullpen catcher (name ended in "ice", maybe

rice?) Threw me the ball! I felt like a kid again..so exccited to get a baseball..I bobbled it &

almost dropped it,..with phone in other, but managed to hang on to it..! This is spring

training ...in case you're not following my blog or familiar with the dates and times..* sat

behind dback dugout during nat ant, & got good pick of gibson, trammel too?

*12:15 got pic of bloomquist by dugout, hoping for good view of kirk gibson,..he has a

special place in my heart bc of our shared michigan roots,,,he was at msu & then the tigers

while I was still in mich, then came to LA about the same time we did as a family..back

then I loved the dodgers..times have changed

*bought $10 tik to dodgers dbacks game,free parking here, dodger fans r more civilized

here in az (so far), I'm NOT a dodger fan despite my so cal partial residency, go dbacks!

*3/17 DENIS PHILLIPS TOUCHES HOME AFTER HomeRun v INDIANs, 7th inning,

back-to-back homers this inning..he was the 2nd, springtraining game

*3/17/13 I TALKED TO GEORGE FOSTER,FORMER CINCI REDS, ...got a signed

photo of him (for $10)...I asked him about frank pastore..he remembered playing with

frank...& was aware of his tragic motorcycle accident..and his "Christian radio show"...I

didn't turn the video camera on in time to capture his comments (did get a photo ) as I wasleaving I asked him if he thinks pete rose should be allowed back in and he said "He should

be reinstated and be in the hall-of-fame". This is at a cactus league spring training game,

phoenix area, goodyear ballpark, indians v reds.Foster is in the reds hall-of-fame, but not

yet the mlb hall-of-fame. Should he be? He had some great years with the reds, & has the

world series rings. I remember watching the "big red machine" as I was growing up in the

70's,in 1977 I was 10 years old. They had a cast of players that is legendary...pete rose,

johnny bench, joe morgan, goerge foster, & the list goes on... privilege to talk to

george..hope all is well for him & his family.

indians*At the ballpark,..indians v reds, reds' xavier cranked a huge homer off cf wall 410 + feet

1st inning, then another homer same inn. (Todd frazier) Made it 5-0 reds,..I watched latos

warmup in the bullpen bf the game..next to me was a guy holding a poster re "the cuban

missle" (chapman)...apparently chapman defected fr cuba,..this guy was also

cuban..m,..weather is warm but not as hot as coachella earlier this week at indian

wells,..plus a nice breeze here..now batting zack cozart,..for the reds, ..what's the name of

this indians pitcher? Btw I donated blood before the game..they had a bloodmobile os the

stadium..free bobblehead for donating.., error 3b indians 134pm(pst),. Now up joey votto

again.

Spring break travel log,

Saw twodays of indian wells tennis, then the annuakl air show @ el centro, where blue

angels kick off their season...then 8 east to phoenix for a few spring training games..gas as

low as357 in arizona, compared to 4 dollars in cali,..slept at rest area near yuma, ..next

morn,..went to immac concep for 7am mass, ..as I exited just bf the state line(?) Calif hwy

patrol pulled in behind me,..no flashers, I pulled over bc I thought I made a wrong turn,

..he pulled in behind me..I stepped out to ask him for directions ...he was an anglo cop,

young feller,..he knew where the church was..gave me vague instructions,,..at which point I

had already figured it out from my gps,..then he said "Keep in mind, one of your brakes

lights is out'..I said id get it fixed asap..that was that..made it to immac concep in

yuma..then back on road..I've been hading out my christian gospel tracts & various

christian mementos along the way (some pencils w/ god messages on them as well)...re-

writing "mission work"..it foesnt need to be so big & elaborate such as a greg laurie

harvest crusade, or going to the philippines for an organized short-term summer

mission,..it can be those things, but you can also do it alone alone w the help of god...little

acts of kindness..messages under windshield wipers,,I gave a dollar to an indigent outside

the yuma church..giving money isn't always the best thing, b7t occassionally at the right

time and place it becomes a message of grace and love (this guy, for example, wasn't even

expecting it, wasn't asking for money..just sitting there...a perfect "point of grace"...I love

the open road thru arixzona..saguaros..long views.. baking sun..not too hot yet at 850am,..
