Step 1:Step 1:Open up a blank Microsoft Word

document. Be sure to put a header (last name and page number) on the page.

Title your document – Works Cited. Be sure to center your title.

Choose your PresidentChoose your PresidentGo to the library and fill out the form for The

World Book Encyclopedia. You will then input this information into the Son of Citation web site form.

This form can be found on the following web site. (www.citationmachine.net) On the left hand side of the page you will find the MLA link. Click on MLA and then, under Print, click on Encyclopedia or other reference work.

The form will open and you will complete the form. When you are finished, click submit.

The new page will consist of text in a grayed out box. Highlight the text in the box, right click and copy. Then paste that information into your Works Cited Page.

The author’s first and last name can be found at the end of the article before the biographical information. It is usually very, very small print.

The title of your article will be your President’s name: first name, last name. The Edition and Volume number are found on the spine of the book.

The Publishing City and Publishing Company can be found on the inside page. For encyclopedias the edition date is the same as the year published. Your pages numbers are the pages from the beginning of your presidential article to the end.
