brothers called Jackson 5.• With these music video they only had the basic videos, this

was just so that they were able to promote the music video. • There was a limited amount of sophistication, so when it came

to the quality of the video there was that much of it. • In there music video it the was also a lot of lip syncing, this

means that instead of them actually sing the song they would mime it.

“Rock With You” 1979• “Rock With You” released in 1979• Now Michael Jackson has started his own solo career,

without his brothers.• This is a video of him singing in his video, there’s no lip

syncing involved at this point.• The video can be seen as being basic, because it's him

dancing and there is a ongoing background light. • But this music is of a better quality, compared to the Rockin’

Robbin video.

his music videos• This was the first ever teresting Pop video made that is able

to tells a story and contains more than someone just lip syncing.

• The music video is about the way the papers are trying to portray him as a player when he wasn't. Michael Jackson himself stated that Billie Jean was based on the groupies he encountered.

was shown was on the TV Channel BBC. • People were now becoming more interested in his music

videos, so that they could see his new image and the new dance steps.

Gaze to it.• Laura Mulvey states that women are seen as objects of male

erotic desire.• In this music video, the women in this music video is seen as

a sex object, because it almost looks as if he men are lusting after her

• Especially with her costume, short dress, legs and arms out, and she was beautiful.

• “Black or White” released in 1991• This pop music was very expensive to make costing

$4,000,000 to make• It was made to be able to resurrect his career because there

were allegations of him being ‘strange’• Alo he was facing problems with his image, because he was

going through the transformation from black skinned to white skinned.

• So he wanted t send a message that it doesn't matter about the skin colour you are.
