Objective: to mitigate the impact of soaring prices on the world markets

particularly : (i) To increase food products supply of

domestic markets by improving agricultural productivity and production; and

(ii) To facilitate vulnerable population’s access to balanced alimentation

Objective: to increase food productivity and diversity– Strengthening of extension services– Implementing watershed and irrigation scheme program– Research and Development (R&D)– Input supply– Promoting rural credit– Diversification of food production (sorghum, cassava)– Empowerment of farmers’ associations– Post harvest management (reducing post harvest losses,

transportation, drying,…) – Data base

- Storage and handling facilities (silo,….)- Marketing (export to COMESA, COI, SADC countries)
