Mountain orMountains? We usemountains when we talk about an area:

My uncles house is in themountains.

Cloth, cloths orclothes?

We use clothes to talk about things people wear. We say an item ora piece of clothing todescribe one thing only.

A cloth (plural cloths) is a piece of material for aparticular purpose, e.g. table cloth, or for makingclothes:

I am going to buy some newclothsforthe wedding.

Most plural nouns end in s. However,some plural nouns are irregular:

Myneighbouris a wonderful

Some nouns have no plural form. We say

that nouns such as water and cheeseare uncountable because we cant count

them. We can only count glasses /bottlesof water and pieces /slices of cheese. Compare:

Id like some water, please.Id like a glass of water, please.

(not two waters)

Other common uncountable nouns includefood, furniture, hair, homework,information, money and work. We

use s on verbs in simple present withuncountable nouns:

The furniture in my bedroom looksgood.

My hair is dark brown, (but Ivegot one grey hair behind my

ear.)
