Day 1: Board your deluxe motorcoach this morning and travel west to LeClaire, Iowa, our home for the night. Our hotel features a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, and you’ll enjoy a family-style feast tonight at the farm-themed Iowa Machine Shed, a restaurant that is dedicated to the American Farmer. Day 2: A continental breakfast awaits you as you board the beautiful riverboat “Twilight.” Enjoy your day on board as we

explore the Mighty Mississippi River, traveling from LeClaire to Dubuque, Iowa. Throughout the trip the Captain will explain points of interest along the river. We will pass through two sets of Locks and Dams, an educational and interesting experience when seen from the land and even more exciting from a boat. You can even visit the pilothouse of the “Twilight” to see the river the way Mark Twain saw it in his days as a pilot. Lunch and dinner are prepared and served on board the “Twilight.” Our lodging tonight is the beautiful Grand Harbor Resort

located on the shore of the Mississippi River. Catch the free shuttle to the nearby Diamond Jo Casino or enjoy an evening stroll along the banks of the river. (CB, L, D)

Day 3: After a peaceful night’s rest, you’ll enjoy breakfast in the hotel dining room. Then continuous complimentary shuttle transportation is available to take you to any of these attractions: Cable Car Square is Dubuque’s famous tourist and shopping neighborhood. Centered around the world’s shortest, steepest scenic railway, this eclectic blend of businesses will keep you enchanted for hours with gift, craft, and antique stores as well as art and pottery. Or you can wile away the morning at the National Mississippi River Museum. This

extraordinary museum is a treasure house of historic artifacts and displays of Mississippi River history. You may wish to spend some time at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, noted for their collection of Tiffany Stained Glass windows. Mid-day you’ll board the riverboat for our return trip to LeClaire, enjoying a delicious lunch and dinner along the way. Day’s end finds us again in LeClaire for our last overnight. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Start your day with a deluxe continental breakfast this morning at our hotel. All too soon it’s time to head home with fond memories of a wonderful trip on the riverboat “Twilight” and the Mighty Mississippi.
