Early this year, we began to sense in our spirit that God was beginning to transition us in ministry. One Sunday night after church I was watching the Bible series on the Discovery channel. As I was watching Abram, I began to think about how he took a huge leap of faith to follow God to a place he had never seen or been be- fore. Abram uprooted his entire family to follow God’s command and from that one leap of faith his life and family was never the same. It was then I felt in my spirit that God wanted to know if I was willing to trust him like that and if I would, He would take our family on an amazing journey as well. Not knowing exactly what God was asking , but feel- ing a sense of excitement and intrigue I told God I was willing to follow him anywhere. A few weeks later we were asked by Missionaries Gary and Patty Heiney to consider coming to Venezuela to work with the children at Samuels House children’s Missionary Associates to Venezuela The Samuels House Ministry is a home for the abandoned children of Caracas, Venezuela. In 1993 Gary and Patty Heiney were called to be missionaries to Vene- zuela. When they arrived in Caracas they noticed all the abandoned children living on the streets (5,000 children age 9 years old and younger live on the streets of Ca- racas). After making it a matter of prayer, God provided Gary and Patty with some property to establish The Samuel's House Children's Home to care for and love those abandoned children. Today the Samuels House Children’s Home can house up to 80 children. They have been selected as the 2013 project for Coins for Kids, and the proceeds will help build a school for these children. It is truly amazing to see the hope a child has when they discover the love of Jesus. Mark chapter 10 tells us that children hold a special place in Jesus heart and James chapter 1 tells us that religion God accepts is taking care of hurting children. We are honored to be apart of God’s plan to love children through The Samuel’s House Children’s Home

Assemblies of God Missionaries are required to

raise support, so I will briefly explain the ins and

outs of this process as a Missionary Associate.

Every Missionary Associate has

two budgets to raise, a cash

budget and monthly budget.

The cash budget is for the air-

fare to get us to the

missions field and

back, language

school, housing at

language school,

VISAs and other

travel expenses.

The monthly

budget is for living

expenses (food, medicine, toilet-

ries), health insurance, transpor-

tation, expenses, utilities, hous-

ing in Venezuela, taxes and fees.

As a missionary associates you

cannot draw any money until

you have departed for the lan-

guage school/missions field. So

all monthly support raised prior

to departure goes towards reach-

ing the cash budget. Our budgets

are listed to the right. We are

asking friends, family, local

business, and acquaint-

ances to partner with us

to see the Great Com-

mission fulfilled. All

money donated is tax

deductable are processed

through the Assemblies

of God who send out

monthly giving state-

ments. Giving can be done

online or via mail. Giving

online ensures payments are

made consistently and without

the hassles of writing checks

and mailing. We thank you for

your consideration in supporting

us financially. Right now we

are at 11% of our Goal!
