U na Nota del Padre Kelly Este fin de semana nos encontramos en el

umbral de un nuevo año, nuevas oportunidades, nuevos comienzos, nuevos retos y nuevas batallas. Y estos próximos días nos brindan algunos momentos para reflexionar acerca del año que termina: nuestros éxitos y nuestros fracasos. Sería fácil mirar hacia atrás y juzgar ambas realidades. Hacerlo, sin embargo, sería ignorar cómo Dios las ha usado para llevarnos hasta donde nos encontramos hoy; sería ignorar cómo es que la gracia de Dios nos ha bendecido en los eventos y momentos más positivos de nuestras vidas y cómo esa misma gracia nos ha fortalecido para aprender de eventos y momentos menos positivos. Cada segundo de tiempo es

un regalo. Creará una historia y servirá para forjar un futuro, pero sobre todo, es este segundo, este momento, el que es valioso. Porque lo que hacemos hoy está influenciado por lo que aprendimos ayer, y nos guiará hacia el mañana. Que siempre estemos agradecidos por el ayer, esperanzados por el mañana y alegres por el día de hoy.

A Word from Fr. Kelly This weekend we stand on the threshold

of a New Year, new opportunities, new beginnings, new challenges, and new struggles. But, these next days provide us with a few moments to reflect on the past year: our successes and our failures. It would be easy to look back and judge both of those realities. To do so, however, would be to ignore how God has used them to bring us to today; how God’s grace has blessed us in the most positive events and moments of our lives and how that same grace has strengthened us to learn from the less positive events and moments. Each second in time is a gift. It will create a history and it will serve to bring forth a future, but above all, it is this second, this moment that holds the value. For what we do today is influenced by what we learned yesterday and it will lead us into tomorrow. May we be ever grateful for yesterday, hopeful about tomorrow, and joyful in today. Happy New Year!
