Puppet StoryHibernating Bear(Tell this story with a bear puppet and a paper bag stage. Tocreate a paper bag stage, cut a hole in the side of a plain brownpaper grocery bag. DirectionsIn advance, cut out large pictures of familiar objects frommagazines. Children glue one or two pictures to each side ofthe construction paper. An adult then 3-hole punches theconstruction paper with pictures and a blank piece ofconstruction paper. Children thread the yarn through theholes and tie it to attach the pages together. An adult cutsthe page without any pictures into three horizontal strips.This is the beginning of a peek-a-boo book. Additionalpages may be added as time permits. Children look at thecompleted peek-a-boo page book by turning one strip at atime to reveal more of the picture.
