Before we Begin….
Take notes- there is an activity after this presentation and you need to know the information.

Purpose of PE?
Math, science all important. If that was the case just be a talking head, but God made us whole.
Might not like everything I do, but you need to have a good attitude while doing it.
Develop team work, problem-solving and social skills through soccer, basketball, etc..

Discipline
Disrupting Class: Breaking the 3 R’s (talking when I’m talking, disrespecting your neighbor, not keeping hands to yourself, teasing a classmate, etc.)
1st Time Disrupting Class Warning
2nd Time Disrupting Class -1pt and ½ Page Reflection (due next time I see you)
3rd Time Disrupting Class -2pts and call home (right then and there)

You MUST walk/run around basketball court until I blow my whistle to have you on your numbers (at 6min)
I’ll take roll I’ll give instruction from there.

You will receive a temporary zero for the day
YOU are RESPONSIBLE to schedule an appointment with me to make up those points. My office hours are listed on your syllabus. At your scheduled time, I’ll inform you the fitness activity to complete for your missed points.

Sick or Hurt
If you request to sit-out for the day, you MUST either be visibly ill or injured, have a doctor or parent note.
A medical note is accepted but the student is still expected to be mentally engaged.
You will be given a temporary zero and can make up the points by running 2 laps around the track when you able to.
