Hospital Scene

Lighting

The lighting in the hospital scene varies, in the room she has a low light focused on her face and some of her chest, upon leaving the room she is in a hallway, with a white light over her, to which it then starts failing and the scene becomes dark with each light that fails. Then finally back into the real world its harsh sterile light over her Beth and Juno. In the cake scene however the light is very dim and yellow and is a depressing sort of light to show in a certain scene, to which it carries to the scene in which she is running from the darkness, then into full sterile light in the end of the scene

Props

In the hospital scene there are many props used, in the first part we have a cake for Sarah's daughter, upon awakening we have a heart monitor, bed, iv drips etc. to create the hospital, then from there on the rest are parts of costumes.

Sound

Diegetic The diegetic sounds in the scene are things such as the heart monitor, her breathing and footsteps, the sound of her getting out of the bed and getting out.

Non DiegeticNon digetic sounds are the noises we don’t hear, for example the low tone music in the back ground or the sound effects as the lights go out.

Costumes

The costumes in this scene are directly involved with the setting, Sarah wears just a gown as she walks the halls, other costumes being the nurses and doctors surrounding her and Beth in the final scene, all costumes watching the style of the scene adding more to the scene itself, not only this but the costumes provided are the costumes which would be stereotypically worn by the real world patients so it links us well and relates to us.
