Camera Angles:

Wide Angle Shot – Frank is the main character so he is in the middle. Makes Frank look big and important. The wide angle shot lets the audience see who the characters are.

Mise-en-scene

Costumes aren’t very nice and look cheap, shows that the characters probably don’t come from a rich background. Dim lighting which reflects the mood of the characters. Most of the characters don’t look not very happy, especially Frank, maybe something bad has happened. No makeup is used, to show they are normal people. A cigarette, an ash tray, and beer are the props used, shows he could be an alcoholic and also the ash tray is filled with cigarette butts, smokes a lot. Set in an old looking pub this could show that he doesn’t have much money.

Two Shot – It makes it seem that there is a close relationship between these two characters. They are just as important as each other as there is no focus on a specific character.

Mise-en-scene

Old and dated clothing but the woman seems to be wearing some sort of lingerie to try and seduce the man. Lighting is bright, focused on them. The woman looks as if she is trying to seduce him but the man is looking away as if he knows as soon as he looks at her he will fall for her. They both look natural and have no makeup to show what time period they are in. There are no props. The setting is in an olden time house. They seem to be in a grand bedroom.

They are wearing typical 80’s clothing and this reflects the time it is set. Natural lighting, in daylight, helps portray how the characters don’t mind being seen even though shooting. The woman looks slightly worried but the man looks angry. Natural makeup. There are guns being used as weapons shows violence and the car could be a get away vehicle. The setting is outside and in the open anyway could be around to see what they are doing, not discreet.
