They are wearing bright colours which make people aware they are a pop girl group. They are also wearing high heels which show their classiness and sophistication. They all are wearing bright makeup to match their outfits. This includes bright lipstick, blusher and eye shadow, which is very feminine and girly. They all have their flowing, either straight or with curls which are another way they are showing off their femininity and beauty. They are look directly at the camera with a serious facial expression, but with a classy and elegant pose. This links to the genre pop being serious about their music and artists/bands. As they are looking directly towards the reader, this is making a connection between the reader and pop group. They have the feminine pose by having their hands on their hip which emphasises their girl power. They have used a plain white sheet as their background to make them more appealing and attractive. This is making all the attention on the glamorous girls. It is typical for pop to use bright lighting to produce a positive, fun mood.

In this image of the famous pop band Girls Aloud, they are all wearing classy, stylish dresses, which make them look like they are dressed for a special occasion. They are wearing bright colours which make people aware they are a pop girl group. They are also wearing high heels which show their classiness and sophistication. They all are wearing bright makeup to match their outfits. This includes bright lipstick, blusher and eye shadow, which is very feminine and girly.

The girls are positioned beside each other to represent they are a close and secure group. The positioning shows look out for each other and protect one another. This is shown by the positioning of the two girls having their arm/hand on another member of the group. This is making the target audience feel inspired and look up to the group as role models.

The image of the famous Jessie J shows she has a purple, long sleeved top of on. This is simple but still links to the genre pop as purple is a bright colour. Her costume is simple but represents what young girls would wear on a casual day out. This links to the target audience feeling that they can still look pretty by wearing a plain top, just like Jessie J. Jessie is wearing a

bright pink lipstick and bright pink nails which stands out to the reader. This is also another way that represents Jessie J is a famous pop singer. This also shows her femininity and girly look, just like the target audience. Her hair is simply just straight in a classy bob which makes her innocence stand out. This is also attracting the audience as they will feel they do not have to spend hours making their hair perfect as Jessie J hasn't done a fancy do is still beautiful.

Jessie J is blowing a kiss towards the reader which shows she is expressing her love to the reader and her fans. This is attracting the audience and making her more likable. She is also making direct contact with the reader, creating a bond between both individuals. This makes the reader feel valued and develop a positive self-esteem. The lighting is again on a plain, white background which is common in pop magazines. This represents innocence and makes the image of Jessie stand out and become more attractive. The image is a close-up to show her emotions and features that make her beautiful. For instance, her eyes and lips are the first features the reader will notice which will make them realise her beauty.

The young Olly Murs is wearing a bright, striped shirt which also represents he is a pop artist. It is modern and simple as this is what teenage boys currently wear. This shows his innocence and purity which each pop singer should be presented as. Olly is seen as a sexy, pretty boy, who young teenage girls are attracted to. In this image, you can tell that he uses a lot of products in his hair to make it perfect and slick. This is to show his perfection and it makes him more attractive and good looking.

The famous artist is not looking directly at the camera but looking away. This is effective as it emphasises his confidence and self-assurance and making us acknowledge that he is sure of himself. His facial expressions make use aware that he knows girl fancy him by the use of eye contact. The background is a light, sky blue shade which shows his masculinity as blue is a maleness colour. This also represents innocence and purity. Just like all the other images, the lighting of the image is bright as this is the way pop represent pop artists. This is another way to show that Olly

is innocent just like the reader.
