This quotation is valid for 14 days from the date given. If cover can be provided, You will be given an acceptance code and a letter will be sent to You upon receipt of payment, detailing the extension of cover. However, if after reading this Certificate, this insurance does not meet with Your requirements, please return it to the issuing agent, within 14 days of issue and they will refund Your premium.

The Insurer shall not be bound to accept renewal of any insurance and may at any time cancel any insurance document by giving 14 days notice in writing where there is a valid reason for doing so. A cancellation letter will be sent to You at Your last known address. Valid reasons may includebutarenotlimitedto:a) Fraudb) Non-payments of premiumc) Threatening and abusive behaviourd) Non-compliance with policy terms and conditions

Provided the premium has been paid in full You will be entitled to a proportionate rebate of premium in respect of the unexpired period showing on the insurance.FRAUDULENTCLAIMS/FRAUDYou must not act in a fraudulent way. If you or anyone acting foryou:• failstorevealorhidesafactlikelytoinfluencewhether we accept your proposal, your renewal, or any adjustment to your policy;• failstorevealorhidesafactlikelytoinfluencethecover we provide;• makes a statement to us or anyone acting on our behalf, knowing the statement to be false;• sends us or anyone acting on our behalf a document, knowing the document to be forged or false;• makes a claim under the policy, knowing the claim to be false or fraudulent in any way;• makes a claim for any loss or damage you caused deliberately or with your knowledge; or• If your claim is in any way dishonest or exaggerated;

wewillnotpayanybenefitunder thispolicyor returnanypremium to you and we may cancel your policy immediately and backdate the cancellation to the date of the fraudulent claim. We may also take legal action against you and inform the appropriate authorities.

GOVERNING LAWUnless some other law is agreed in writing, this policy is governed by English law. If there is a dispute, it will only be dealt with in the courts of England or of the country within the United Kingdom in which your main residence is situated.RECIPROCAL HEALTH AGREEMENTS:EHIC & MEDICAREIf you are travelling to European Union countries you should obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You can apply either online through http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC or by telephoning

0300 330 1350. This will entitle you to benefit from thereciprocal health agreements, which exist between certain European countries. In the event of a claim being accepted for medical expenses which has been reduced by the use of an EHIC, or Private Health Insurance, the deduction of the excess under the medical section B will not apply. When you are travelling to Australia and you have to go to hospital, you must register for and make use of the treatment offered under the national Medicare scheme. If you know you need treatment, you can enrol for Medicare at a DHS Service Centre. If you receive treatment before you enrol, Medicare benefitswillbeback-paidforeligiblevisitors.

What to do in the Case of a Medical EmergencyHOSPITAL TREATMENT ABROAD

If You are admitted to hospital You must contact Global Response immediately. If You do not, this could mean that We will not provide cover or We will reduce the amount We will pay for medial expenses.

Treating Doctor/Hospital: For travel to the United States of America: We will only pay for reasonable and necessary emergency medical treatment, surgical, hospital, ambulance and nursing fees and charges. This means costs that are incurred for approved, eligible medical services or supplies up to 150% of the published medical rates for the same or similar treatment as payable by US Medicare.

We reserve the right to limit payment to what Ourmedicalofficerdeemsreasonable.

If OurmedicalofficeradvisesadatewhenitisfeasibleandpracticaltorepatriateYou, but You choose instead to remain abroad, Our liability to pay any further costs under this section after that date will be limited to what We would have paid if Your repatriation had taken place.

If they do not, this could mean that We will not provide cover or We may reduce the amount We pay for Your return to the United Kingdom. The 24 hour medical emergency service reserve the right to repatriate You should Our medical advisors view Youasbeingfittotravel,ifYou refuse to be repatriated then all cover under this Policy will cease. The 24 hour medical emergency service may be contacted from anywhere in the world to provide assistance to You.

IMPORTANT NOTE:If You currently hold private health insurance that covers You for medical expenses abroad then We recommend, in the event of a medical emergency abroad, that You also advise the 24-hour

medical emergency service of Your membership number and plan type.

Policy Contract PeriodsContract Period - Single TripAsinglereturntrip,asdefinedinthePeriod of Insurance, beginning and ending in the United Kingdom.

Contract Period - One way TripAsingleoutwardtrip,asdefinedinthePeriod of Insurance, beginning in the United Kingdom. The Period of Insurance shall expire normally or in any event no later than 24 hours after the time the Insured first leaves theimmigrationcontroloftheirfinaldestinationcountry.

Contract Period - Annual Multi-TripAny number of return trips as defined subject to thefollowing:• a maximum duration on any one trip of 31 days.• cover for overnight trips within Your country of residence applies when accommodation is pre-booked for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights• Wintersports 17 days cover is subject to an additional premium(maximumage65yrs).

Period of Insurance - Single TripUnder Section A (for Cancellation), insurance is effective from the Date of Issue of the Certificate and terminates on commencement of the trip. In respect of all other sections, insurance commences when the Insured leaves their Home or business in the United Kingdom (whichever is the later) to commence the trip described in the territorial limits andshallceasewithwhicheveroccursfirstofthefollowing:1. The expiry of the Policy Period as shown on the Certificate;2. The return of the Insured to their Home as planned, at the end of a trip;3. ThefirstreturnoftheInsured to the United Kingdom prior to the planned return at the end of a trip.The Period of Insurance will be extended day by day up to a maximum of 30 days after the expiry of the period stated on the Certificate when the return is necessarily delayed as a result of the ill health of the Insured or failure of Public Transport provided that the 24-hour medical emergency servicebeennotified.Inrespectofonewaytripsonly,thePeriod of Insuranceshallceasewhicheveroccursfirstofthe following: theexpiryof thePolicy Period or 24 hours after the time the Insured first leaves the immigrationcontroloftheirfinaldestinationcountry.

Period of Insurance - Annual Multi-Trip OnlyUnder Section A (for Cancellation), insurance is effective from the later of either the Date of Issue of the Certificate or the time at which a trip is booked and terminates with whicheveroccursfirstofthefollowing:1. The commencement of the trip; or2. The expiry of the PolicyPeriod(beingtheexpiryof365days from the date of issue);In respect of all other sections, insurance commences when the Insured leaves their Home or business in the United Kingdom (whichever is the later) to commence the trip described in the territorial limits and shall cease with whicheveroccursfirstofthefollowing:

1. The expiry of the PolicyPeriod(beingtheexpiryof365 days from the date of issue);2. The return of the Insured to their Home as planned, at the end of the trip;3. ThefirstreturnoftheInsured to the United Kingdom or prior to the planned return at the end of the trip; or4. The Insured’s period of travel exceeding the period stated on the Certificate. (If the Insured’s period of travel exceeds duration limits, then the entire period of travel, including the limits on the Certificate, will not be covered hereunder.The Period of Insurance will be extended day by day up to a maximum of 30 days when the return is necessarily delayed as a result of the ill health of the Insured or failure of Public Transport provided that the 24-hour medical emergencyservicehasbeennotified.Cover extends to each and every Period of Insurance up to the maximum duration stated on the Certificate for any one trip (Wintersports limited to 17 days per Policy per year).

Policy DefinitionsWherever the following words or phrases appear within this Policy they will always have the same meaning and will appear in bold with a capital letter.

AccidentAsudden, unexpected, unusual, specific, violent, externaleventwhichoccursatasingle identifiable timeandplaceand independently of all other causes, results directly, immediately and solely in physical Bodily Injury which results in a loss. In no event shall the contracting of any disease and/or illness (including, but not limited to heart attack, stroke or cancer), nor the injection or ingestion of any substance, be considered an Accident. An event which directly or indirectly exacerbates a previously existing physical Bodily Injury shall not be considered an Accident.

Adverse WeatherWeather of such severity that;• the police, or other appropriate authority, warn by means of public communications networks including, but not limited to, popular websites, television or radio against all but essential travel and/or;• it causes major disruption to transport services i.e. rail, road or bus which is reported in the media.

Bodily InjuryInjury caused by external, violent or visible means.

Business EquipmentComputer equipment, communication devices and other business related equipment which is carried by You in the course of Your business.

CashCurrency notes and coins.

Certificate/Policy/EvidenceThe Certificate is proof of insurance and is part of this Policy. This document describes You and the Insured

person(s) who are covered under this Policy, the Period of Insurance and the cover You have opted for.

Children/GrandchildrenPersons aged up to and including 18 years of age at the time of departure.

Close Business AssociateAny person whose absence from business for one or more complete days at the same time as the Insured’s absence prevents the effective continuation of that business.

Common-Law PartnerAny couple (including same sex) in a common law relationship or who have co-habited for at least 6 months.

Complications of Pregnancy and Childbirthtoxaemia, gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole (molar pregnancy), post-partum haemorrhage, retained placenta membrane, placental abruption, hyperemesis gravidarum, placenta praevia, stillbirths, miscarriage, medically necessary emergency Caesarean sections/medically necessary termination and any premature births more than 8 weeks (or 16 weeks in the case of a known multiple pregnancy) prior to the expected delivery date.

Consequential LossUnless We provide cover under this insurance, any other loss, damage or additional expense following on from the event for which You are claiming is not covered. Examples of such loss, damage or additional expense would be the cost of replacing locks after losing keys, costs incurred in preparing a claim or loss of earnings following Bodily Injury or illness.

ExcessWhere applicable, the Excess is thefirstamountofeachclaim for each separate incident payable for each Insured. Excess amounts are shown in the Schedule of Cover.

FamilyShall mean parents or grandparents (up to a maximum of two adults) and their Children or Grandchildren, Your marital, domestic or civil partner who you have lived with permanently for at least 6 months. Cover for families shall apply where the appropriate premium has been paid and where the Family members travel together. Adults insured on an annual multi-trip Policy are entitled to travel independently of each other. Cover for Children will only be provided if travelling with an Insured adult and all travellers are named on the Certificate.

Golf EquipmentGolf clubs, golf bags, non-motorised trolleys and golf shoes.

Hazardous ActivityAn activity where it is recognised there is an increased risk of injury or can be reasonably expected to exacerbate an existing medical condition (if You are in any doubt, please contact Your issuing agent with full details of the activity).

HomeThe Insured’s place of residence in the United Kingdom, where You normally reside for six months of the year.

InsuredAny Insured person who is included on the Policy having paid the appropriate premium.

Loss of SightThe complete and irrecoverable loss of the sight of one or both eyes.

Loss of Limb(s)Loss by physical severance of a hand at or above the wrist or a foot at or above the ankle.

Medical PractitionerA registered practising member of the medical profession who is not related to You or any person with whom You are travelling.

Permanent Total DisablementDisablement which, from the moment of Accident, entirely prevents the Insured from attending to any business or occupation whatsoever of any and every kind and which lasts 12 calendar months and at the expiry of that period is, in the opinion of the Underwriter’s Medical Advisors, beyond expectation of improvement.

Personal EffectsLuggage, clothing, Valuables and personal items, (excluding Personal Money) which are owned by You and have been either taken or purchased on the Trip.Thefollowingarenotincludedinthedefinition:Antiques, any property held or used for any business or professional purposes, bicycles, contact or corneal lenses, diving equipment, cameras and other photographic equipment of any kind, audio and visual equipment of any kind, electrical and electronic equipment, computers and telecommunications equipment of any kind (including mobile phones), all discs and other audio and/or visual media of any kind, satellite navigation devices of any kind, jewellery, watches, furs, telescopes, binoculars, musical instruments, spectacles, sunglasses, precious stones or articles made of or containing gold, silver or other precious metals.

Pre-existing Medical ConditionA condition for which You have been admitted as a in-patient in the past twenty four months, or have suffered from or received any form of medical advice, treatment or medication for a;1. Heart or Circulatory related condition (e.g. Hypertension, Angina, Stroke, etc), or2. Lung or Breathing related condition, other than well controlled, mild Asthma, suffered in isolation, or3. Cancerous Condition.

Public TransportThe use of train, bus, coach or ferry services, or scheduled flights,runningtoapublishedtimetabletojointhebookedtravel itinerary.

RelativeBrother or Sister (Inc. in-laws), Civil partner, Child (Inc. Foster, Step and In-laws), son or daughter, including fostered or adopted children and children who you have legal guardianship of, Fiancé or Fiancée, Grandparent or child, Legal guardian, Parent (Inc. in-laws), Spouse, Step-brother or sister, Step-parent (Inc.in-laws). Common-law partners or any couple (Inc. same sex) cohabiting for at least six months prior to the purchase of this policy.

ResidentThis policy is only available to you if you are a permanent resident in the UK. You must have been present in the UK for at least six months prior to purchasing your policy and be registered with a Medical Practitioner in the area in which you reside.

Single ItemAny one article, pair set or collection under the Personal Effects and Baggage, Ski Equipment Sections, prams, buggies and wheelchairs.

Ski EquipmentSkis, ski poles, ski bindings, ski boots, snowboard, snowboard bindings and snowboard boots.

Sports EquipmentThose items which are usually worn, carried or held during the participation in a sporting activity.

WintersportsSkiing, off-piste skiing (except in areas designated as unsafe by resort management), snowboarding, recreational racing, mono ski-ing, guided cross country skiing, snow mobiling, tobogganing and ice skating.

You, Your (Insured)All person(s) within the age limit, the names of who are provided to MIS at the time of premium payment, being resident in the United Kingdom and registered with a Medical Practitioner in the United Kingdom. Each person is separately insured with the exception of Children / Grandchildren insured on an annual multi-trip Policy unless travelling with an Insured adult.

InsuranceThe Underwriter hereby agrees to the extent and in the manner hereinafter provided, to indemnify the Insured against loss or damage sustained or legal liability for accidents happening during the period stated in the Certificate, after such loss, damage or liability areproved.

PROVIDED always that:1. TheliabilityoftheUnderwritershallnotexceedthe limits of liability as expressed in the attached terms and conditions or such other limits of liability as may be substituted therefore by memorandum hereon or attached hereto signed on behalf of the Underwriter.

SECTION A -CANCELLATION AND CURTAILMENT CHARGES

What You Are Covered For:If the Insured’s trip is cancelled or curtailed due to any one of the reasons listed below occurring to the Insured, or their travelling companion and their travelling companion cancels or curtails their trip, during the Period of Insurance, the Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shownintheScheduleofCover:• Cancellation for travel and accommodation expenses paid or contracted to be paid by the Insured in respect of their own trip (prior to any occurrence giving rise to a claim under this section) which are not recoverable.• Curtailment for travel expenses to the Insured’s Home and pro-rata amount of the total pre-paid or contracted cost for each complete day of the trip which is foregone and which are not recoverable excluding pre-paid or contracted costs for transportation to return Home and used travel ticket cost(s).Reasons for Cancellation and Curtailment:(a) death, serious injury or serious illness, occurring during the Period of Insurance, of an Insured, the Insured’s travelling companion, a Relative or Close Business Associate of the Insured or their travelling companion, or the person with whom the Insured has arranged to stay whilst on the trip.(b) jury service, witness call or compulsory quarantine;(c) accident to their vehicle within 7 days prior to intended date of departure (applicable to self-drive holidays only);(d) the posting overseas or emergency and unavoidable requirements of duty in the Armed Forces, Police, Fire, Nursing or Ambulance Services;(e) redundancynotifiedduringthePeriod of Insurance whichqualifiesforpaymentunderthecurrent

redundancy legislation;(f) fire,flooddamagetoYour Home within 7 days of the start of, during Your trip where Your presence is required by the police or Your insurer at Your Home;(g) presence being required by the Police as a result of Your Home in the UK suffering a burglary within 7 days of, or during Your trip.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover.2. claims arising directly or indirectly as a result of a Pre existing Medical Conditions(asdefinedonpage9)of the Insured, the Insured’s travelling companion, a Relative or Close Business Associate of the Insured or their travelling companion, or any person whom the trip depends, or any person with whom the Insured has arranged to stay whilst on the trip, unless declared to and agreed by the Underwriter with any required additional premium paid and/or amendments to Policy conditions.3. claims arising if an Insured: (i) is travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner or for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment; or (ii) is on a hospital waiting list or awaiting the results of medical investigations; or (iii) has received a terminal prognosis at the date of application; (iv) is travelling against any health requirements stipulated by the carrier, their handling agents or any other Public Transport provider.4. claims arising which are not supported by written medicalconfirmationandclinicalreportsfrommedical service providers, as well as all other proof of the happening of an event causing Cancellation or Curtailment;5. claimsforanycostsassociatedwithunusedtimeshare property;6. claims arising where the Insured has not been able to receive the necessary inoculations or vaccinations or obtain necessary visas;7. Your disinclination to travel; or8. claims caused or contributed to by or on the order of any government, public or local authority; or9. the omission or default of the provider of transport or accomodation or of an agent through whom the travel arrangements where made; or10. Your loss of enjoyment of the Trip, however caused;11. any claim for curtailment which has not been approved by the 24-hour medical emergency service; or12. any cancellation or curtailment charges We would not have had to pay, had Younotifiedthetravelagent, tour operator or provider of transport and accommodation immediately after You knew You would be cancelling or curtailing Your trip;13. Your travel expenses for You to return to the UK if You do not already possess pre-paid travel tickets;14. Your late arrival at the airport or port after check in or booking time.15.Normalpregnancy,withoutanyaccompanyingbodily injury, illness, disease or complication.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONYou must obtain a medical Certificate from a

Medical Practitioner and the prior approval of the 24-hourmedicalemergencyservicetoconfirmthenecessity to return Home prior to curtailment of the

Trip due to death, Bodily Injury or illness

SECTION B - EMERGENCY MEDICAL EXPENSESAND REPATRIATION

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will reimburse the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover in respect of the following expenses necessarily incurred as a result of the Insured sustaining Accidental Bodily Injury or becoming ill:1. EmergencyMedicalExpenses (a) cost of medical, surgical or hospital treatment (includingemergencydentaltreatmentupto£250 for the immediate relief of pain only). The Underwriter reserves the right to repatriate when, in the opinion of the doctor in attendance and the Underwriter’s Medical Advisors, the Insuredisfittotravel. (b) cost of transporting the remains of an Insured to the United Kingdom, or the reasonable cost of funeral in the country where death occurs, if other than the Insured’s usual country of residence, up to £7,000. (c) reasonable additional transportation and accommodationcosts(upto£1,250perperson for accommodation) incurred by the Insured and any one person travelling with the Insured, as a result of the Insured receiving medical advice from the doctor in attendance and the Underwriter’s Medical Advisors that their originally planned return journey to the United Kingdom is impossible due to medical reasons (Payment shall be based upon the average cost of transportation and accommodation incurred prior to the originally planned return date).2. EmergencyRepatriation (a) the cost of return to the United Kingdom of an injured or sick Insured by medically appropriate means where, in the opinion of the Underwriter’s medical advisors, such return is medically necessary.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess (unless the Insured uses a EHIC card or private health insurance which successfully reduces the amount of the claim) as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising directly or indirectly as a result of a Pre- existing Medical Condition of the Insured unless declared to and agreed by the Underwriter with any required additional premium paid and/or amendments to Policy conditions;3. claims arising if an Insured: (i) is travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner or for the purpose of obtaining

medical treatment; or (ii) is on a hospital waiting list or awaiting the results of medical investigations; or (iii) has received a terminal prognosis at the date of application; (iv) is travelling against any health requirements stipulated by the carrier, their handling agents or any other Public Transport provider;4. claims arising for treatment or surgery which, in the opinion of the Underwriter’s medical advisors, is not essential or can reasonably be delayed until the Insured’s return to their Home;5. claimsarisingfromtheadditionalcostsofsingleor private hospital room accommodation;6. claims arising from medical treatment of any kind received after an Insured has returned to the country of residence;7. claims arising from medical treatment of any kind not authorised at the time by a recognised registered Medical Practitioner or the 24-hour medical emergency service;8. claims arising from medical treatment of any kind occurring after an Insured has refused the offer of repatriation when, in the opinion of the doctor in attendance and the Underwriter’s medical advisors, the Insuredisfittotravel;9. claims arising in respect of physiotherapy treatment and other associated therapies; 10. any cost or expenses incurred within Your country of residence;11. dental treatment which is not for the purpose of relieving pain or suffering;12. any upgrades from economy class travel, unless Our medical advisors specify necessary on medical grounds;13. any costs or expenses if You do not have a pre-paid ticket to the UK, or the country You are temporarily residing in at the start of Your trip;14. any medication or drugs which You knew were needed at the start of the trip;15.lossesarisingwithin25milesofYour Home;16. cosmetic surgery and all expenses incurred in connection with cosmetic surgery;17. non continuous treatment.18. Any claims for costs related to pregnancy or childbirth unlesstheclaimiscertifiedbyamedicalpractitioner as necessary due to complications of pregnancy and childbirth.

SPECIAL NOTE:In the event of an Insured dying, being involved in an Accident, being admitted to hospital, or curtailing for medical reasons, the 24-hour medical emergency service must be advised as soon as possible and liability shall only attach for expenses agreed by them. Failure to notify the 24-hour medical emergency service will prejudice the Underwriter and will result in the Underwriter’s non-acceptance of liability of such claims.Should the Insured require medical treatment in Australia, they should enrol with MEDICARE. It is not necessary to enrol on arrival. An Insuredcansimplydothisatthefirstoccasion in which they receive treatment.In-patient and out-patient treatment at a public hospital

is then available free of charge. Should an Insured be admitted to hospital then immediate contact must be made with the 24-hour medical emergency service and their authority obtained in respect of any treatment NOT available under MEDICARE before such treatment is provided.

SECTION C - HOSPITALISATION BENEFIT

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will pay the Insured the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for each and every completed period of 24 hours for which the Insured is an in-patient in a hospital abroad, as a direct result of an Accidental Bodily Injury or illness which is covered under Section B.

SECTION D - PERSONAL EFFECTS AND BAGGAGE

What You Are Covered For:• Lost, Stolen or Damaged Personal Effects and Baggage The Underwriter will reimburse the Insured up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover, for the value of Personal Effects taken or purchased on the trip by the Insured which is accidentally lost, stolen or damaged. The maximum payment for any Single Item is shown in the Schedule of Cover. The maximum payment for Valuables is shown in the Schedule of Cover. The maximum payment for any Single Item for which an original receipt, proof of purchase or insurance valuation (obtained priortotheloss)isnotsuppliedis£75,subjecttoa maximum of £300 for all such items.• Travel Documents The Underwriter will reimburse the Insured up to the maximum as shown in the Schedule of Cover for the value of Travel Documents (passport, green cards, travel tickets and accommodation vouchers) held by an Insured which are lost or stolen (and reasonable expenses directly consequential upon any such loss).• Baggage Delay The Underwriter will reimburse the Insured for the cost of purchase of necessities, up to the maximum as shown in the Schedule of Cover should baggage be delayed or lost in transit on the outward journey for more than 24 hours. Payment made under this heading will be set against the amount of any claim arising if the baggage is permanently lost. The Insured must supply receiptsfortheitemspurchasedandconfirmationfrom the carrier of the length of delay.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. wear, tear and depreciation of the article(s);3. claims arising from breakage of fragile articles unless causedbyfireoraccidenttoavehicle;4. claims arising for loss, theft or damage to prams, buggies, wheelchairs, pedal cycles, motor vehicles, marine or diving equipment and craft, surfboards, sailboardsorrelatedequipmentorfittingsofanykind;5. claimsarisingfromdamagecausedbyleakage

of powder or liquid carried within Personal Effects or baggage;6. claims arising for Cash, cheques, travellers cheques, stamps and contact lenses, antiques, computer equipment of any kind including laptops, mobile telephones, tv sets;7. claims arising for loss or theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discoveryandanofficialreportobtained;8. claims arising for loss or damage which is not reported to any appropriate authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained(andspecificallyfor claims arising against or in common carriers and hotels, any claim not reported within 24 hours of discovery, andanofficialreportobtained).Inthecaseofanairline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required at the time of baggage collection;9. claims arising for breakage of Sports Equipment whilst in use;10. claims arising from delay, detention, seizure or confiscationbycustomsorotherofficials;11. claims arising for loss, theft or damage to household goods or anything shipped as freight or under a Bill of Lading;12.Claimsfor:Antiques,bicycles,contact/corneallenses, dentures/bridgework, diving and marine equipment, golf equipment (see Golf Cover), hearing aids, mobile phones, motor vehicles, personal money, prams buggies/pushchairs, property used for business, prosthetic limbs, satellite navigation devices, ski equipment (see Winter Sports Cover), spectacles, sports equipment, stamps, sunglasses, surfboards, watercraft, wheelchairs;13. claims arising for property left unattended in a place to which the general public has access or left in the custodyofapersonwhodoesnothaveanofficial responsibility for the safekeeping of the property;14. claims arising for loss thefy or damage of items from an unattended motor vehicle, unless taken from a locked boot between 8am and 8pm local time and there is evidenceofforcedentrywhichconfirmedbyapolice report;15.claimsarisingforlossordamagetoitemscarriedona vehicle roof rack;16. claims arising for loss, theft or damage to Valuables which at the time of such loss, theft or damage where located in checked-in luggage or an unattended motor vehicle;17. claims arising for loss, theft or damage in Excess of £150occurringonabeachorinoraroundaswimming pool (including claims under Section E);18. no cover will apply for items left on any mode of transport following disembarking or items overlooked at Your accommodation upon vacating;19. more than the Single Item limits in the Schedule of Cover, up to a maximum shown in the Schedule of Coverintotalforanyoneclaim,limitedto£75peritem and subject to a maximum of £300 in total, if You are unable to provide the original receipt, proof of purchase or an insurance valuation which was obtained prior to the loss;20.loss,theftordamagearisingfrom:

(a) mechanical or electrical breakdown; or (b) moth or vermin; or (c) processes of cleaning, restoring or repairing;21. theft from Your holiday accommodation unless there is evidence of violent, visible and forcible entry thereto;22. loss, theft or damage to Valuables or Your passport left unattended at any time (including in a vehicle or in the custody of carriers) unless deposited in a hotel safe or safety deposit box;23. any claim for baggage delay if You cannot supply receipts for the essentials items purchased and written confirmationfromthecarrierastothelengthofdelay.

SECTION E1 - PERSONAL MONEYSECTION E2 - CREDIT CARD FRAUD

E1 What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover in respect of loss of Cash or travellers cheques (unless the issuer provides a replacement service) which is the property of the Insured and carried on the Insured person (a reduced limit applies as shown in the Schedule of Cover for Children under 18 unless an adult premium has been paid) or placed inasafetydepositboxorsimilar locked,fixedreceptacle.Cover for Cash is limited to the Cash limit as shown in the Schedule of Cover.

E2 What You Are Covered For:For fraudulent purchases made on Your credit card which are not covered by Your credit card company.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising for loss or theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discoveryandanofficialreportobtained;3. In the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required;4. claims arising from delay, detention, seizure or confiscationbyCustomsorotherofficials;5. claimsarisingfromshortagesduetoerror,omissionor depreciation in value;6. claims arising for loss of theft of Cash which at the time of such loss or theft was located in checked-in luggage or an unattended motor vehicle;7. claimsforlossortheftinExcessof£150occurringon a beach or in or around a swimming pool (including claims under Section D).

SECTION F1 and F2 -TRAVEL DELAY AND HOLIDAY ABANDONMENT

What You Are Covered For:In the event of a delay of the Insured’s outwardflightorseatrip from the United Kingdomorplannedinboundflightorsea trip to the United Kingdomasaresultof: • strike or industrial action; or • Adverse Weather; or • mechanical breakdown or derangementthe Underwriter will indemnify the Insuredasfollows:

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. claimsnotsubstantiatedbyapolicereportconfirming the length and exact nature of the incident.

SECTION H - MISSED DEPARTURE

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover, in respect of reasonable additional costs of travel and accommodation necessarily incurred if the Insured is unable to reach the international point of departure of the booked travel itinerary on the initial outward or final return journey as a consequence of thefailure of Public Transport due to strike, industrial action, Adverse Weather or the accident/breakdown of a private motor car in which the Insured is travelling.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising as a result of the Insured not having taken reasonable steps to complete the journey to the departure point on time;3. claims arising if the Adverse Weather, strike or industrial action was in existence or publicly declared before You started Your journey to the departure point;4. claims arising from the vehicle not having been properly serviced and maintained, in the event of vehicle breakdown;5. anyclaimunlessthereisaminimumconnectiontimeof three hours;6. any claims for vehicle breakdown or failure, which are not substantiated by a written report from a rescue service or garage; 7. an upgrade in accommodation.

SECTION I - PERSONAL ACCIDENT

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will pay the Insured or their estate the sum insured as shown in the Schedule of Cover for one of the following losses resulting from an Accident sustained by the Insured:Death, Loss of Limb(s), Loss of Sight or Permanent Total Disablement from engaging in paid occupations of any kind. Loss must occur within 180 days of the date of Accident.Nobenefitsshallbepaidformorethan one loss suffered.

What You Are Not Covered For:1. AnybenefitwhenYour death, injury or loss does not occur within 180 days of the Accident.2. Anybenefitasaresultofparticipatinginanacceptable Hazardous Activity, unless You have paid the additionalpremiumpriortotravelandcoverisconfirmed on YourCertificate.3. AnybenefitifYou cannot prove to the Underwriter that the Permanent Total Disablement has continued for 12 months from the date of the injury and in all probability will continue for the remainder of Your life.4. More than one lump sum under this section.5. Claimsarisingdirectlyorindirectlyfromthecontracting

F1. Travel Delay The amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for the firstfull12hourperiodofdelayandanadditional amount for each full 12 hour period of delay thereafter, up to the maximum amount shown in the Schedule of Cover, provided always that the Insured obtains from thecarrierastatementconfirmingthelengthandexact nature of the delay.F2. Abandonment If the holiday or journey is necessarily cancelled following a delay of not less than 24 hours beyond thescheduleddeparturetime(andwrittenconfirmation obtained from the carrier), the Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for travel and accomodation expenses paid or contracted to be paid by an Insured in respect of their own trip (prior to any occurence giving rise to a claim under this section) and which are not recoverable. No claim shall be made under bothe Travel Delay and Abandonment.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover for Section F2 (Abandonment);2. claims arising from delay caused by strike if strike or industrialactionwasnotifiedatthetimetheinsurance was purchased;3. Your failure to check in as per Your original itinerary;4. any claims rising directly or indirectly from the delay of travel arrangements in anyway caused or contributed to, by or on the order of any government, public or local authority including but not limited to any civil or federal aviation authority.

SECTION F3 - PETCARE

What You Are Covered For:In the event of a delay of more than 12 hours to the Insured’s final planned inbound flight, rail or sea trip tothe United Kingdom, the Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Cover in respect of additional kennel and/or cattery fees necessarily incurred as a direct result of the delay.

SECTION G - HIJACK

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will pay the Insured the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for each and every completed period of 24 hours in the event of hijack of the transport on which the Insured is travelling.

SECTION J - PERSONAL LIABILITY

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for the legal liability of the Insured for accidental injury to third parties and/or accidental damage to their property.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. anything in General Exclusions;2. thefirst£200ofeachandeveryclaiminrespectofloss or damage to temporary holiday accommodation;3. Bodily Injury or disease to any person who, at the time of sustaining such injury or disease, is engaged in Your service or to any member of Your Family or anyone You are travelling with;4. damage to property belonging to, or in the care, custody or control of Your Family or a person in Your service;5. anyliabilityarisingoutoforincidentaltoanyprofession, occupation, or business;6. any liability which has been assumed under contract and would not otherwise have attached;7. any liability, injury, loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from or due to ownership, possession or use of: (a) any motorised or mechanical vehicles including any attached trailers or caravans; (b) any aircraft (whatsoever); (c) any watercraft or vessel (other than manually propelled watercraft or vessels) or any other form of motorised leisure equipment;8. any liability arising out of ownership, occupation, possession, or use of any land or building (other than occupation only of any temporary residence);9. any liability, injury, loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from or due to ownership, possession or use of anyfirearmsorweaponsofanykind;10. any liability arising in respect of any wilful or criminal act or assault;11. any liability arising in any country in which You own premise, or are resident;12. any liability, injury, loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from or due to any animals belonging to You or in Your care, custody or control;13. any claims arising due to participant to participant liability.

SPECIAL NOTE:No liability shall be admitted and no admission, arrangement, offer, promise or payment shall be made by the Insured without the written consent of the Underwriter, who shall be entitled, if they so desire, to take over and conduct, in the name of the Insured, their defence of any claim or to

prosecute for their own benefit any claims for indemnity,damages or otherwise against any third party. The Underwriter shall have full discretion in the conduct of any negotiations, proceedings, or the settlement of any claims and the Insured shall, wherever possible, give all such information and assistance as the Underwriter may require.

SECTION K - LEGAL EXPENSES COVER

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for legal costs and expenses incurred in pursuing legal proceedings against third parties for compensation and damages arising from or out of Your death, serious illness or personal Accident during Your trip.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. any costs or expenses which have been incurred without prior approval of the Underwriter;3. any claim where the Underwriter considers Your prospectofsuccessinachievingareasonablebenefitto beinsufficient;4. any claim emerging from the pursuance to a contingent fee agreement between You and Your counsel;5. anyclaimfortravelandaccommodationexpenses which You have incurred whiclst pursuing legal action;6. any claim arising from You pursuing legal proceedings as part of and (or) on behalf of a group or organisation;7. any claim for legal costs where You are pursuing a legal action against Your issuing agent, Motor Insurance Services Limited, the Underwriter, Medical Pre- screening Company, the 24-hour medical emergency service, any Primary Group company, a member of Your Family or a travelling companion;8. any claim for legal costs where the Insured is pursuing legal action relating directly or indirectly to medical negligence or alleged medical negligence.

SECTION L - CATASTROPHE COVER

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover in the event that the Insured is forced to move from the pre-booked accommodation as a result of fire, lightning, explosion,earthquake, storm, tempest, hurricane, flood, medicalepidemicorlocalGovernmentdirectivewhichisconfirmedin writing by local or national authority for irrecoverable travel or accommodation costs necessarily incurred to continue with the trip or, if the trip cannot be continued for return Home.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. The Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover.2. Claims where a report from local or national authority is not obtained stating that it was not acceptable for the Insured to remain in their booked accommodation.3. Costs recoverable from a Tour Operator.

4. Claims for any costs or expenses if You decide not to remain in Your booked accommodation although it is considered safe and acceptable to continue living there.5. ClaimsforanycostswhichYou would have expected to pay during Your trip.

SECTION M - HOTEL SERVICES FAILURE

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will pay the Insured the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for each and every completed period of 24 hours where, due to strike or industrial action, the Insured’s pre-booked hotel completely withdraws the following: (i) water or electrical facilities; or (ii) kitchen services to the extent that no food is available; or (iii) chambermaid facilities.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. claims which are not substantiated by a written report fromthetourrepresentativeand/orhotelconfirmingthe exact length, nature and cause of the disruption;2. claims arising from strike or industrial action which was notifiedatthetimetheinsurancewaspurchased;3. claims for services not normally available prior to any strike or industrial action.

SECTION N - SCHEDULED AIRLINE FAILURE INSURANCE

This cover is provided by International Passenger Protection Limited, IPP House, 22-26 Station Road, West Wickham, Kent BR4 0PR, United Kingdom and is underwritten by Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s (The Insurer).

The Insurer will payupto£750intotalforeach Insured PersonnamedontheInvoiceandontheAirlineTicketfor:1. Irrecoverable sums paid prior to Financial Failure of the scheduled airline not forming part of an inclusive holiday prior to departure or 2. In the event of Financial Failureafterdeparture: a) Additional costs incurred by the Insured Person in replacingthatpartoftheflightarrangementstoa similar standard of transportation as enjoyed prior to the curtailment of the travel arrangements; or b) If curtailment of the holiday is unavoidable -the cost ofreturnflightstotheUnitedKingdom,Isleof Man, Channel Islands or Ireland to a similar standard of transportation as enjoyed prior to the curtailment of the travel arrangements.

Financial Failure means the Airline becoming Insolvent or has an administrator appointed and does not fulfil thebookedflight(s)

The Insurer will not pay for: 1. ScheduledflightsnotbookedwithintheUnitedKingdom, Isle of Man, Channel Island or Ireland prior to departure. 2. Any costs resulting from the Financial Failureof: a) Any scheduled airline which is, or which any

prospect of Financial Failure is known by the Insured Person or widely known publicly at the date of the Insured Person’s application under this policy b) Any loss or part of a loss which at the time of the happening of the loss is insured or guaranteed by any other existing Policy, Policies, bond, or is capableofrecoverysection75oftheConsumer Credit Act or from any bank or card issuer or any other legal means. 3. The Financial Failure of any travel agent, tour organiser, booking agent or consolidator with whom the insuredhasbookedascheduledflight4. Any losses which are not directly associated with the incident that caused the Insured to claim. For example, loss due to being unable to reach a pre-booked hotel, villa, car hire or cruise following the Financial Failure of an airline.

Provided when Wintersports Cover is effected and appropriatepremiumpaid.Wintersports cover shall not be bound by Exclusions Applicable to All Sections, paragraph 10, in so far as it excludes ‘All Wintersports. However, the following remain excluded:skijumping,skiflying,heli-skiing,skiacrobatics,ski stunting, freestyle skiing, off-piste skiing on areas designated as unsafe by resort management, ski racing and training, ski bob racing, parapenting, ice hockey and the use of skeletons and bobsleighs.

SECTION O - SKI EQUIPMENT

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured in respect of loss or breakage of Ski Equipment up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover for owned and hired Ski Equipment. In the case of owned Ski Equipment, each claim is subject to a maximum payment for any Single Item shown in the Schedule of Cover. The maximum payment for any Single Item for which an original receipt, proof of purchase or insurance valuation (obtained prior to the loss) isnotsuppliedis£75,subjecttoamaximumof£275forallsuch items.

SKI HIRE

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for each 24 hour period for the cost of necessary hire of Ski Equipment following: (a) loss or breakage of the Insured’s Ski Equipment; or (b) the midirection or delay in transit of the Insured’s Ski Equipment for 12 hours.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising for loss or theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discoveryandanofficialreportobtained;3. claims arising for loss, theft or damage to household goods or anything shipped as freight or under a Bill of Lading;4. claims arising for property left unattended in a place to which the general public has access or left in the custodyofapersonwhodoesnothaveanofficial

responsibility for the safekeeping of the property;5. claimsarisingforloss,theftordamageofitemsfroman unattended motor vehicle, unless taken from a locked boot or locakable roof rack between 8am - 8pm local time and there is evidence of forced entry which is confirmedbyapolicereport;6. claims arising from delay, detention, seizure or confiscationbyCustomsorotherofficials.

SECTION P - SKI PACK

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify an Insured up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover, for the proportionate value of any ski pass, ski hire or tuition fee necessarily unusedduetothefollowing: (a) Accident or sickness of an Insured; (b) loss or theft of ski pass.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwriter shallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising for theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained;3. in the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required;4. claims arising for property left unattended in a place to which the general public has access or left in the custodyofapersonwhodoesnothaveanofficial responsibility for the safekeeping of the property;5. claimsarisingforlossortheftofitemsfroman unattended motor vehicle, unless taken from a locked boot or lockable roof rack between 8am and 8pm and thereisevidenceofforcedentrywhichisconfirmedbya police report;6. claims arising directly or indirectly as a result of a Pre- existing Medical Condition of the Insured unless declared to and agreed by the Underwriter with any required additional premium paid and/or amendments to Policy conditions.7. claims arising from a medical condition which is not substantiated by a report from the treating doctor confirmingtheInsured’s inability to ski.

SECTION Q - PISTE CLOSURE

What You Are Covered For:In the event that, due to lack of snow fall or Adverse Weather in the pre-booked Wintersports resort between the months of December to March (Northern Hemisphere) and May to October (Southern Hemisphere), and no alternative being available, the Insured is not allowed to ski for a period in excess of 12 hours, the Underwriter will pay thebenefitasshownintheScheduleofCoverforeachfull24 hour period in which an Insured is unable to ski, up to the maximum as shown in the Schedule of Cover.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. claims arising which are not substantiated by a report from the resort management;

2. claims arising due to lack of snow fall in a Wintersports resort which does not possess skiing facilities above 1,000 metres;3. anybenefit,whereYou have been offered a reasonable alternative destination due to piste closure in Your pre- booked Wintersports resort;4. claims for loss of enjoyment, however caused;5. anybenefitsinrespectofaUK holiday;6. anybenefitifYou were aware of or it was publicly known there was likely to be a lack of snow at the time of taking out this insurance.

SECTION R - DELAY DUE TO AVALANCE

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will pay the Insured up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover for additional travel and accommodation expenses in the event that the Insured’s outward or return journey is delayed for at least 12 hours beyond the scheduled departure time as a direct result of avalanche.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover; 2. claims arising which are not substantiated by a report from the resort management.

SECTION S - WEDDING COVER

Provided when Wedding Cover is effected and the appropriatepremiumpaid.

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will reimburse the Insured up to the amountshownintheScheduleofCoverfor:1. the value or repair of the Insured’s wedding ring taken, or purchased on the trip, if it is lost, damaged or destroyedduringthetrip,uptoalimitof£350,and;2. the value or repair of the Insured’s wedding gifts, taken or purchased on the trip, if they are lost, damaged or destroyed during the trip, and;3. the repair of damaged items or the purchase of replacement items, if the Insured’s wedding attire whichisspecificallywornbyhim/heronhis/herwedding day is lost, damaged or destroyed during the trip.** Note: Proof of the existence of the lost or damaged item(s) will be required, together with receipts for the repairs detailing the extent of the damage and receipts for the replacement item(s) in the event of replacement items being purchased. The damaged items should be kept and produced in the event of a claim.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. wear, tear and depreciation of the article(s);3. claims arising from breakage of fragile articles unless causedbyfireoraccidenttoavehicle;4. claims arising from damage caused by leakage of powder or liquid carried within Personal Effects or baggage;

5. claimsarisingforCash, stamps and contact lenses, antiques, computer equipment of any kind, mobile phones and TV sets;6. claims arising for theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained;7. claims arising for loss or damage, which is not reported to any appropriate authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreport,obtained(andspecificallyfor claims arising against or in common carriers or hotels, any claim not reported in writing to such carrier or hotel within24hoursofdiscoveryandanofficialreport obtained). What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover for loss, theft or breakage of Golf Equipment. The maximum payment for any Single Item for which an original receipt, proof of purchase or insurance valuation (obtained prior to the loss) isnotsuppliedis£75,subjecttoamaximumof£300forallsuch items.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover;2. claims arising for theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained;3. In the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required;4. claims arising from the delay, detention, seizure or confiscationbycustomsorotherofficials;5. claimsarisingforloss,theftordamagetoGolf Equipment shipped as freight or under a Bill of Lading;6. claims arising for Golf Equipment left unattended in a

GOLF EQUIPMENT HIRE

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify an Insured up to an amount of £30 per day up to total £300, for the cost of necessary hire of Golf Equipmentfollowing: (a) loss or breakage of an Insured’s Golf Equipment; or (b) the misdirection or delay in transit for at least 12 hours of an Insured’s Gold Equipment.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. claims arising for theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained;2. In the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required;3. claims arising for loss, theft or damage of Golf Equipment shipped as freight or under a Bill of Lading;4. claims arising for Golf Equipment left unattended in a place to which the general public has access or left in thecustodyofapersonwhodoesnothaveanofficial responsibility for the safekeeping of the property;5. claimsarisingforloss,theftordamageofGolf Equipment from an unattended motor vehicle, unless taken from a locked boot and there is evidence of forced entrywhichisconfirmedbyapolicereport;6. claims arising for loss, theft or damage of Golf Equipment carried on a vehicle roof rack.

GREEN FEES

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify an Insured up to the amount of £75 per day up to £300 in total, for the proportionatevalue of any non-refundable, pre-paid green fees, Golf Equipment hire or tuition fee necessarily unused due to the following: (a) Accident or sickness of an Insured; or (b) loss or theft of documentation which prevents the particpationinthepre-paidgolfingactivity.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. claims arising for theft which is not reported to any appropriate police authority within 24 hours of discovery andanofficialreportobtained;2. In the case of an airline, a Property Irregularity Report will be required;3. claims arising for a property left unattended in a place

to which the general public has access or left in the custodyofapersonwhodoesnothaveanofficial responsibility for the safekeeping of the property;4. claims arising for loss, theft or damage of items from an unattended motor vehicle, unless taken from a locked boot and there is evidence of forced entry which is confirmedbyapolicereport;5. claimsarisingdirectlyorindirectlyasaresultofaPre- existing Medical Condition of the Insured, unless declared to and agreed by the Underwriter with any required additional premium paid and/or amendments in Policy conditions;6. claims arising from a medical condition which is not substantiated by a report from the treating doctor confirmingtheInsured’s inability to play golf.

SECTION U - BUSINESS EQUIPMENT

Provided when Business Equipment is effected and the appropriatepremiumpaid.

What You Are Covered For:The Underwriter will indemnify the Insured up to the amount as shown in the Schedule of Cover for Accidental loss, theft of or damage to Your Business Equipment. Following this accidental loss, theft or damge to Your Business Equipment, the Underwriter will also pay for any emergency courier expenses You have incurred, in obtaining any Business Equipment, which is essential to Your intended business itinerary, up to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover.

What You Are Not Covered For:The Underwritershallnotberesponsiblefor:1. the Excess as shown in the Schedule of Cover.2. Morethan£75perSingle Item, up to a maximum of £150intotalforanyoneclaim,ifYou are unable to provide the original receipt, proof of purchase or an insurance valuation which was obtained prior to the loss.3. Claims for theft of Your Business Equipment, if You havenotnotifiedthepolicewithin24hoursofits discovery and obtained a written report, which includes the crime reference number.4. Any claim if the loss, damage or theft occurs during a journey or whilst in the custody of an airline or other carrier, and Youhavenotnotifiedthecarrierortheir handlingagentoftheincidentandobtainedanofficial report or a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).5. Wear,tearordepreciation.6. Mobile phones.7. Loss, theft or damage arising from the delay, detention, seizureorconfiscationbycustomsorotherofficials.8. Damage caused by the leakage of powder or liquid carried within Your Business Equipment.9. Any breakage of fragile articles, unless the breakage is causedbyfireoranaccidentinvolvingthevehiclein which You are being carried.10. Damage to, or loss or theft of Your Business Equipment,ifithasbeenleft: (a) Unattended, in a public place. (b) In the custody of a person who does not have an

officialresponsibilityforthesafekeepingofthe property. (c) In an unattended motor vehicle, unless they have been taken from a locked boot between 8am - 8pm local time and there is evidence of forced entry, whichisconfirmedbyapolicereport. (d) Loss, theft or damage to anything being shipped as freight or under a Bill of Lading.

EXCLUSIONS APPLICABLE TO ALLSECTIONS OF THE INSURANCE

The Underwritershallnotberesponsibleforclaimsarising:1. from any medical condition which would require You or any of Your travelling companions to answer yes to the Pre-existing Medical Conditionquestionsonpage5 unless declared to and accepted by Us.2. directly or indirectly from You or anyone else upon whom Your trip depends; i) are travelling against the advice of a Medical Practitioner ii) are travelling for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment iii) are on a hospital waiting list iv) are awaiting the results of medical tests or investigations v) are receiving ongoing dialysis treatment vi) have been given a terminal prognosis vii) have anxiety, stress or depression3. foranyclaimsinanywaycausedorcontributedtoby: (i) the failure of; or (ii) the fear of the failure of; or (iii) the inability of any equipment or any computer programme to recognise, interpret correctly or process any date as its true calendar date or to continue to function correctly beyond that date other than for loss, damage, expenses or Consequential Loss not otherwise excluded which itself results from the operation of an insured cause.4. which are directly or indirectly caused by, occasioned by, resulting from or in connection with any of the following regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to theclaim: (i) terrorismasdefinedbytheTerrorismAct2000and any amending or substituting legislation. We will, however, cover any loss or damage (but not related cost or expense), caused by any act of terrorism provided that such act did not happen directly or indirectly because of biological, chemical, radioactive or nuclear pollution or contamination or explosion. (ii) war, civil war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies (whether war be declared or not), rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, orconfiscation,nationalisation,requisition, destruction of or damage to property by or under the order of any government, local or public authority; or (iii) seizure or illegal occupation; or (iv) confiscation,requisition,detention,legalorillegal occupation, embargo, quarantine or any result of

Following a change in this information disclosed to the Underwriter by the Insured during the Period of Insurance, the Underwriter reserves the right to amend or cancel the insurance, providing the Insured with a pro-rata refund of premium. If the Insured is in any doubt as to whether information is relevant, then for their own protection it should be disclosed to the Underwriter.2. You are required by the provisions of the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012 totakecareto: a) supply accurate and complete answers to all the questions We or the Administrator may ask as part of Your application for cover under this Policy; b) to make sure that all information supplied as part of Your application for cover is true and correct; c) tell Your Administrator of any changes to the answers You have given as soon as possible. You must take reasonable care to provide complete and accurate answers to the questions We ask when You take out, make changes to and renew Your policy. If any information You provide is not complete or accurate, this may mean Your policy is invalid and that it does not operate in the event of a claim or We may not pay any claim in full. If you become aware that information you have given your administrator is inaccurate or has changed, you must inform your administrator as soon as possible.3. All Certificates, information and evidence required by the Underwriter shall be furnished at the expense of the Insured or their legal personal representatives and shall be in such form and of such nature as the Underwriter may prescribe. The Insured shall as often as required submit to a medical examination on behalf of the Underwriter at the Insured’s expense. In the event of death of the Insured, the Underwriter shall be entitled to have a post-mortem examination at their own expense. Any items which become the subject of a claim for loss or damage shall be retained for Underwriter’s inspection and shall be forwarded to their Agents upon request at the expense of the Insured or their legal personal representatives. All such items shall become the property of the Underwriterfollowingfinalsettlementoftheclaim.4. In the event of any occurrence which may give rise to a claim under this insurance, the Insured shall take all reasonable steps to minimise any loss arising out of such claim.5. Thisinsuranceisnon-transferable.Shouldthejourney or holiday be cancelled prior to departure for any reason whatsoever other than those set out in Section A of the Policy then the insurance cover terminates immediately and the premium is neither apportionable nor refundable.6. Unless some other law is agreed in writing, this policy is governed by English law. If there is a dispute, it will only be dealt with in the courts of England or of the country within the United Kingdom in which your main residence is situated.7. The Underwriter may, at its own expense, take

The Insured must exercise reasonable care to prevent illness, injury or loss or damage of their property as if uninsured;16. directly or indirectly from the Insured being engaged in any manual employment after the commencement of the trip;17. which have not been proven and the amount thereof substantiated.18. use of dangerous equipment.19. manual work of any kind.20. where You are travelling against any health requirements stipulated by the carrier, their handling agents or any other Public Transport provider;21. from Youtravellingagainstforeignofficeadviceor where it is deemed unsafe for You to travel;22. from prohibitive regulations by the government of any country.23. directly or indirectly from the tour operator, airline or any othercompany,firmorpersoneitherbecoming insolventorbeingunabletoorunwillingtofulfilanypart of their obligation.24. from routine treatment or care which could reasonably be expected to arise during Your period of insurance.25. Anyconsequence,howsoevercaused,includingbut not limited to Computer Virus in Electronic Data being lost, destroyed, distorted, altered, or otherwise corrupted. For the purposes of this Policy, Electronic Data shall mean facts, concepts and information stored to form useable for communications, interpretations, or processing by electronic or electromechanical data processing or other electronically controlled hardware, software and other coded instructions for the processing and manipulation of data, or the direction and manipulation of such hardware. For the purposes of this Policy, Computer Virus shall mean a set of corrupting, harmful, or otherwise unauthorised instructions or code, whether these have been introduced maliciously or otherwise, and multiply themselves through a computer system or network of whatsoever nature.

CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALLSECTIONS OF THE INSURANCE

1. It is a condition that You take care to supply complete and accurate information to the Underwriter. Failure to

proceedings in the name of the Insured to recover compensation or secure an indemnity from any third party in respect of any loss or damage covered by this insurance and any amount so recovered shall belong to the Underwriter.8. In the event that the Insured recovers by any means, damages from any third party in respect of personal AccidentinthecircumstancesdefinedinSectionI,all benefitspaidtotheInsured under Section I shall be repaid to the Underwriter.9. If any fraudulent claim is made or if any fraudulent meansordevicesareusedtoobtainanybenefitunder this Policy,allbenefitsthereundershallbeforfeitedas well as all premiums paid.10. In the event that the Insured experiences a problem with the Policy or the claims process, please refer to the Complaints Procedure.11. If at the time of loss, damage or liability, covered under this Policy, You have any other insurance or guarantee which covers the same loss, damage or liability, the Underwriter will only pay a rateable share of claim.12. You must be resident in the UK and registered with a Medical Practitioner in the UK at the time of taking out this Policy and intend to return to the UK within the trip duration.13. whilst particpating in any Hazardous Activity, You must take reasonable care at all times to ensure Your own safety and the safety of those around You. Such reasonable care involves following the directions of any instructor and (or) expedition leader and following the normal and reasonable safety procedures suggested or recommended by the recognised controlling body of the sport or activity concerned, or the safety procedures commonly exercised in pursuing the sport or activity in question at all times. 14. PROFESSIONAL FEESLegal fees and costs reasonably and properly incurred by the Authorised Representative, with Our prior written authority including costs incurred by another party for which You are made liable by Court Order, or may pay with Our consent in pursuit of a civil claim in the Territorial Limits arising from an Insured Incident.

In the event that the matter falls within the limits of a Small Claims Court, the maximum amount payable to the Authorised Representative shall be limited to the maximum amount recoverable from that respective Court.

SCHEDULEThe document which shows details of You and this insurance and is attached to and forms part of this policy.

STANDARD PROFESSIONAL FEESThe level of Professional Fees that would normally be incurred by Us in either handling this matter using Our own Claims Specialists or a nominated Authorised Representative of Our choice.

TERRITORIAL LIMITSWorldwide but only where Legal Proceedings can be brought in a United Kingdom or European Union (EU) country’sCourtJurisdiction.

Insured Events

CONSUMER DISPUTES

WHAT IS COVERED?Pursuing a breach of contract claim arising from a contract (which must be evidenced and recorded in writing) entered into by on on Your behalf for the purposes of undertaking a Holiday in order to seek compensation and or implementationofthecontractfromthefollowing:

a) Your Tour Operator or Holiday Companyb) Your Travel Agentc) A Car Hire company with whom You have pre-booked a vehicled) An Airline, Ferry, Train, Cruise liner or Coach Operatore) A Hotelier or Property Owner

Subject to the cause of action arising within the Territorial Limits and where Legal Proceedings are able to be brought in a United Kingdom or European Union (EU) Country’s Court jurisdiction.

WHAT IS EXCLUDED?Excluding:-1. Any dispute where the value of the goods or services in dispute or the total instalments due at the time of making the claim is less than £150.2. An Event not reported to the Insurer within 30 days of returning from the holiday subject to the dispute.3. Professional Fees and expenses which a Court of Criminal Jurisdiction orders to be paid.4. Actions pursued in order to obtain satisfaction of a judgement or legally binding decision.5. The Insured Person’s travelling expenses, subsistence allowances or compensation for absence from work.6. Any claim where the Event arises from incidents which have occurred or services and the like which have been providedpriortothefirstinceptionsateofthisinsurance.

General Policy ExclusionsThis insurance does not cover:-1. Professional Fees incurred:-

a) in respect of any Insured Incident where the Event commenced prior to the inception of the insurance. b) before Our written acceptance of a claim. c) before Our approval or beyond those for which We have given Our approval. d) where You fail to give proper instructions in due time to Us or to the Authorised Representative. e) where You are responsible for anything which in Our reasonable opinion prejudices Your case. f) if You withdraw instructions from the Authorised Representative, fail to respond to the Authorised Representative, withdraw from the Legal Proceedings or the Authorised Representative refuses to continue to act for You. g) in respect of the amount in excess of Our Standard Professional Fees where You have elected to use an Authorised Representative of Your own choice. h) that excees the maximum amount recoverable from that respective Court in relation to matters that fall within Small Claims Court limits. i) where You decide that You no longer wish to pursue Your claim as a result of disinclination. All costs incurred up until this stage will become Your responsibility.2. The pursuit of any claim if We consider it is unlikely a reasonable settlement will be obtained or where the likely settlement amount is disproportionate compared with the time and expenses incurred.3. Claims which are conducted by You in a manner different from the advice or proper instructions of the Authorised Representatives.4. Appeals unless you notify Us in writing of Your wish to appeal at least six working days before the deadline for giving notice of appeal expires, and We consider the appeal to have a reasonable chance of success.5. Any Professional Fees and expenses that could have been recovered under any other insurance except beyond the amount which would be payable under such insurance had this Policy not been effected.6. Damages,finesorotherpenaltiesYouareorderedto pay by a Court tribunal or arbitrator.7. Claims arising from an Insured Incident arising from Your deliberate act, omission or misrepresentation.8. Claims arising from:- a) Ionising, radiations or contamination by radioactivity from irradiated nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel. b) Any radioactive toxic explosive or other hazardous properties of any nuclear assembly or component thereof. c) War, Terrorism or any like or any associated risk. d) Seepage pollution or contamination of any kind. e) pressure waves caused by aircraft or other aerial devices.9. Any dispute relating to written or verbal remarks which damage your reputation.10. Any Professional Fees relating to your alleged dishonesty, criminal act, or violent behaviour.11. Professional Fees arising directly or indirectly from computer software except operating sysytems and packaged software that have not been tailored by the supplier to Your own requirements.

12. Legal Proceedings outside the European Union (EU) and proceedings in constitutional international or supranational courts or tribunals including the European Court of Justice and the Commission and Court of Human Rights.13. A dispute which relates to any compensation or amount payable under a contract of insurance.14. A dispute with Us not dealt with under the Arbitration Condition.15. Any dispute relating to patents copyrights trade or service marks registered designs passing off intellectual propertytradesecretsorconfidentialinformation.16. An application for judicial review.17. Any claim involving medical or clinical negligence, or pharmaceutical or any related claims (including but not limited to tobacco products).18. Any claim arising from stress or a stress related condition.19. Disputes between an Insured Person and their Family or a matrimonial or co-habitation dispute.20. Fees payable to the Appointed Representative that exceed the maximum amount recoverable from the respective Court where the dispute falls within the limits of a Small Claims Court.21. Any matter arising from or relating to any business or trading activity or venture for gain undertaken by an Insured Person including but not limited to any personal guarantee and investment in unlisted companies.22. Legal Proceedings between an Insured Person and a central or local government authority.23. Any matter in respect of which an Insured Person is entitled to Legal Aid.24. Any claims made or considered against Us, the Agent or Authorised Representatives used to handle any claim.25. Any claims relating to cosmetic treatment, surgery or tanning.

Policy ConditionsALTERATION OF RISKYou shall notify Us immediately of any alteration in risk which materially affects this insurance.

OBSERVANCEOur liability to make any payment under this policy will be conditional on You complying with the terms and conditions of this insurance.

CLAIMSYou must tell Us in writing within 30 days of returning from the respective holiday about any matter, which could result in a claim being made under this Policy, and must obtain in writing Our consent to incur Professional Fees.

We will give such consent if You can satisfy Us that there are sufficientprospectsofsuccessinpursuingYourclaimandthat it is reasonable for Professional Fees to be paid and You have paid the Excess.

We may require You at Your expense to obtain the opinion of an expert or counsel on the merits of a claim or Legal

Proceedings. If We subsequently agree to accept the claim, the costs of such opinion will be covered.

If after receiving a claim or during the course of a claim We decidethat:1. Yourprospectsofsuccessareinsufficientor2. It would be better for You to take a different course of action or3. We cannot agree to the claim.

We will write to You giving Our reasons and We will not then be bound to pay any further Professional Fees for this claim.

We may limit any Professional Fees that We will pay under the policy in the pursuit continued pursuit or defence of any claim:1. If We consider it is unlikely a reasonable settlement will be obtained or2. Where the likely settlement amount is disproportionate to the time and expense necessary to achieve a settlement.3. We consider that it is unlikely that You will recover the sums due and or awarded to You.

Alternatively We may at Our option pay to You the amount indisputewhichshallbedeemedtorepresentfullandfinalsettlement under this policy.

REPRESENTATIONWe will take over and conduct in Your name the prosecution, pursuit, or settlement of any claim. The Authorised Representative nominated and appointed by Us will act on Your behalf and You must accept Our nomination.

If Legal Proceedings have been agreed by Us, You may nominate Your own Authorised Representative whose name and address You must submit to Us. In selecting Your Authorised Representative You shall have regard to the common law duty to minimise the cost for Your claim. Any dispute arising from this shall be referred to Arbitration in accordance with the Conditions of this policy.

Where You have elected to use Your own nominated Authorised Representative You will be responsible for any Professional Fees in excess of Our Standard Professional Fees.

CONDUCT OF CLAIM1. You shall at all times co-operate with Us and give to Us and the Authorised Representative evidence, documents and information of all material developments and shall attend upon the Authorised Representative when so requested at Your own expense.

2. We shall have direct access at all times to and shall be entitled to obtain from the Authorised Representative any information, form, report, copy of documents, advice computation, account or correspondence relating to the matter whether or not privileged, and You shall give any instructions to the Authorised Representaive which may be required for this purpose. You or Your Authorised Representative shall notify Us immediately

in writing of any offer or payment into Court made with a view to settlement and You must secure Our written agreement before accepting or declining any such offer.

3. We will not be bound by any promise or undertaking given by You to the Authorised Representative or by either of You to any Court, witness, expert, agent or other person without Our agreement.

RECOVERY OF COSTSYou should take all reasonable steps to recover costs and expenses. If another person is ordered, or agrees, to Pay You all or any costs and expenses, charges or compensation You will do everything possible (subject to Our directions) to recover the money and hold it on Our behalf. If payment is made by instalments these will be paid to Us until We have recovered the total amount that the other person was ordered, or agreed to pay by way of costs.

FRAUDWe have the right to refuse to pay a claim or to avoid this insurance in its entirety if You make a claim which is in any respect false or fraudulent.

DATA PROTECTIONThe data supplied by You will only be used for the purposes of processing Your policy of insurance, including underwriting, administration and handling any claim which may arise. The data supplied will not be passed on to any other parties other than those which We have mentioned hereon.

It is important that the data You have supplied is kept up to date. You should therefore notify Us promptly of any changes. You are entitled upon the payment of any administration fee to inspect the personal data which We are holding about You. If you wish to make such an inspection, You should contact Legal Insurance Management Ltd, 18 Hagley Road, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 1PS.

We may respond to enquiries by the Police concerning Your policy in the normal course of their investigations. Where it is necessary to administer Your policy effectively or to protect Your interests We may disclose data You have supplied to other third parties such as solicitors, loss adjusters, motor garages, engineers, repairers, replacement companies, other insurers etc.

REASONABLE CAREYou must take all reasonable steps to prevent incidents that may give rise to a claim and to minimise the amount payable by Us.

CANCELLATIONWe hope You are happy with the cover this policy provides. However, if after reading this policy, this insurance does not meet with Your requirements, please return it to Your Agent within 14 days of issue we will refund Your premium, provided you have not travelled or made a claim.

The Insurer shall not be bound to accept renewal of any insurance and may at any time cancel any insurance

document by sending 14 days notice to the Insured at his last known address. Provided the premium has been paid in full the Insured shall be entitled to a proportionate rebate of premium in respect of the unexpired period showing on the insurance. A charge may be imposed based upon the usage of any helpline during this period.

ACTS OF PARLIAMENTAny refernce to Act of Parliament within this Policy shall include an amending or replacing Act and shall also include where applicable equivalent legislation in Scotland Northern Ireland and under European Law where applied in the UK.

ARBITRATIONAny dispute between You and Us will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be referred to a single arbitrator, who shall either be a solicitor on whom we both agree, or if we cannot agree, one who is nominated by the Law Society. Where appropriate the dispute will be resolved on the basis of written submissions. The costs of resolving the dispute will be met in full by the party against whom the decision is made. If the decision is not clearly made against either party, the arbitrator shall have the power to apportion costs.

CONTRACTS(RIGHTSOFTHIRDPARTIES)ACT1999Unless expressly stated nothing in this insurance contract will create rights pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 in favour of anyone other than the parties to the insurance contract.

NOTICESAny letter or notice concerning this insurance will be properly issued if it is sent to the last known address of the person intended to receive it.

CLAIMS HELPLINEAll potential claims must be reported initially to the Claims Helpline for advice and support.

We will not accept responsibility if the Helpline services fail for reasons beyond Our control.

LAWThis policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of England and Wales unless the Policyholder’s habitual residence (in the case of an individual) or central administration and/or place of establishment is located in Scotland in which case the law of Scotland shall apply.
