Musical instruments £532 And have also pledged the following: A new sofa for the school library £199 Library non-fiction books £500 Extra books for Classes 2 & 3 £600 (£300 per class)- This is due to the fact that there is currently a shortage of reading books for the children, with the current number of books the children would have to repeat books and wouldn’t be able to move on as fast as some of them need to. After talking this through with Mrs Hawkes the PTA decided that it would contribute the above amount in order to alleviate the problem £1400 to be put towards new iPads for the school. (these will be bought outright and not be subject to a 3 year agreement, Mrs Hawkes will source these) A test production run of 4 Story Sacks for the infants, (Red Riding Hood, 3 Billie Goats Gruff, Dr Seuss, Hansel & Gretel) These should be roughly £15 each but this is only a provisional cost. Helen and Julie have agreed to help sort these out. 4) Jooners: Luke Bardygilpin delivered a report on “Jooners” which is an online organisational tool which could be used to ease the pressure of organising events for the school. In short “Jooners” would prove a valuable tool for the PTA to have but it relies on having parents e - mail addresses to help with this. If you haven’t already done so could you please pass along your e-mail address to you PTA class rep if you are willing to help with any PTA activities. 5) Dates for Your Diaries: Christmas Party: Monday 15 th December. Nativity: 9 th December (Afternoon), 10 th December (Evening). Carol Service: 17 th December (Evening)
