1 Pastor Jerry I. Maguire

Redeemer Presbyterian Church In America 191 Sudbury Road Concord, MA 01742

Pastor Brad Evans 35 Grant Hill Rd Coventry, CT 06238 12.02.10 Dear Brad: This letter is a recommendation from the Session of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Concord, MA for Matthew Kerr who has been a member here for more than six months, is one of our Pastoral Interns and a Middler at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. At our Session Meeting of Tuesday Evening 11.30.10 it was M/S/C that we fulfill the requirements deemed necessary by the BCO to recommend Matthew Kerr to come under care and that Pastor Maguire both write and forward this recommendation to the Southern New England Presbytery so that d.v., he might be able come under care at the 01.15.11 Stated Meeting of Presbytery. I will attempt to follow these directions found in the PCA Book Of Church Order 18-2:

The endorsement of his Session must be given to the Presbytery, consisting of testimonials regarding his Christian character and promise of usefulness in the ministry. The endorsement should also describe the activities of ministry the applicant has participated in with brief evaluation.

Testimony regarding Matthew Kerr’s Christian character and promise of usefulness in the ministry: Matthew has now served as a Pastoral Intern at Redeemer for over a year and it has been a pleasure to get to know Him. He is a young man who upon arriving at Redeemer immediately with his wife Sarah looked for ways to be of service to Christ and our congregation with much joy and enthusiasm that has been an encouragement to all of us. And since that point we have begun to notice and benefit from Matt’s gifts which we believe will make him useful in ministry.
