The South African Banking Risk Information Centre (Sabric) is a Not for Profit Company (NPC) based in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa, established by the 4 major South African Banks to assist the Banking and Cash-in-Transit industries in combating organised crime. Sabric’s Commercial Crime Office division deals with all commercial related crime activities, i.e. bank account fraud, card fraud, card skimming activities, E-Crime, etc. The department deals with vast amounts of data, which requires diligent capturing of information that ensures quality output for clients. The current frustration exists where users are burdened by administrative functions. The need to capture accurate information often includes the exercise of verifying the data received. This entails passing information to and from the data provider, which is time consuming and creates the frustration of not effectively fulfilling job roles.Access to information is also restricted, whereby staff manually request information across the different departments. This also leads to duplication of effort in capturing data. “Sabric has confidence in Mint’s ability to implement best of breed solutions for our

organisation, using the relevant Microsoft Technology.” Kalyani Pillay – SABRIC CEO
