But the Lord is faithful, and he
will strengthen you and protect
you from the evil one.
2 Thes. 3:3
We were blessed with a very busy week with Upai and Amber Jasa, and son Jade who is now one year-old. They serve in Thailand with Wycliffe Bible Translators and hope to have the New Testament completed by late 2014 in a new language of a people group that is spread among five nations (including the U.S.).
Stand in faith
Even when you can’t see your way Stand in faith
Even when you feel like you can’t face another day Stand in faith
Even when the tears want to flow from your eyes
Stand in faith Knowing that our God will always provide
Stand in faith
Even when you feel that all hope is gone Stand in faith
Knowing that He is always there for you to lean on Stand in faith
Even when you feel like giving up
Stand in faith Because He is there ... saying, "Just look up"
Stand in faith Even in those times you feel so all alone
Stand in faith
Hold on and be strong, for He is still on the throne Stand in faith
Even when it’s hard to believe Stand in Faith
Knowing that He can change your situation, suddenly
Stand in faith Even in those times you feel it’s hard to pray
Stand in faith
And believe that He has already made the way Faith ... is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
So stand in faith Because you already have the victory!
CCF was blessed with a very busy and fun fulfilling week with Upai, Amber and Jade Jasa. Their week started with attending our normal monthly Missions Group meeting which was great. For me and my wife this was the first time we got to really talk “one on one” with them. I learned so much about them and the work they do and could not wait to hear more! Next day they joined the morning Bible Study held in an apartment building for seniors and lunched with Pastor Kerry.

Stand in Faith --Evangelist Johnnye V. Chandler Poem
A Week with the Jasas
Upai and Amber Jasa
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us
How deep the Father's love for us How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His
treasure
How great the pain of searing loss The Father turns His face
away As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons
to glory
Behold the man upon a cross My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Josh and Sami, took Upai, Amber and Jade to Redeemer on the Mount on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a new church plant in the EFCA led by a great guy named Alex Ilease and his family.
We went there for 10 am for an outreach they do for the kids in the neighborhood. We all had a great time, Alex and his crew were very hospitable to us and meeting and working with the kids was great.

While your main goal of distributing a
newsletter might be to sell your product
or service, the key to a successful
newsletter is making it useful to your
readers.
Later that day, Amber was able to join in with the Case of Hope ministry to help decorate pillow cases for Women’s Shelters in the area. Wednesday they had a pizza party dinner with the youth group and had a great time telling them about their work, even teaching them some translation also. The kids all really enjoyed the night; maybe we have some missionaries in the making?
On Saturday morning Val Vecchi, myself and my two kids –
Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights were spent with dinner and fellowship at the homes of
the Vecchi’s and Doyal’s and then at my home on Saturday.
I know that Upai cooked a Thai supper for the Doyal’s and I have to admit I was jealous about that. When they came to my house for dinner, my wife cooked lasagna which ended up being a favorite of Upai. We had a great time of fellowship with my family and their family. We then had a great turnout with other members of CCF joining us for a time of fellowship and desert. All in all it was great getting to know the Jasa’s and I hope to continue the friendship we started.
Sunday they presented CCF a power point presentation on what they do and their needs followed by an awesome picnic. Once again we loved getting to know them better and hope they enjoyed their time with all of us and felt Christ’s love thru all.
Thank you Upai and Amber for your faithfulness and hard work! Thank you for spending time with us here at CCF and my family really looks forward to seeing you more often.
