it easy to contain any outbreaks.
• Resorts in particular are very low density
accommodation which makes social
distancing possible without major
operational changes or capacity reductions.

• All passengers will be required to
sanitize their hands and wear a mask
prior to boarding a vessel or aircraft.
• Seating arrangements are to be
identified prior to boarding in case
contact tracing needs to be done.
• Masks are to be worn in
circumstances where physical
distancing is not possible and in
enclosed spaces.
• Good hand hygiene to be followed.
• Any exhibition of symptoms to be
reported to the facility and isolation
procedures to be followed strictly
while waiting for screening results.

• If any symptoms are exhibited by a tourist or staff
member they will be immediately isolated and
arrangements will be made for a PCR test.
• Close contacts will be identified and quarantined
until the test results are received.
• If the PCR test is negative, the symptomatic tourist
will be restricted from using common facilities and
attending public places. However, they will still be
allowed to use private beaches on resorts.

• Resorts are allowed to host tourists even if they have
tested positive if the required medical facilities are
available on site.
• However, tourists lodging in guesthouses, vessels,
hotels and resorts without requisite medical facilities
for COVID-19 management will be transferred to
dedicated facilities.
• The government is working on locally providing
insurance packages for travelers which will cover the
costs of treatment.

• Commonly touched surfaces are to be
disinfected every 4 hourly as a minimum.
• Dining chairs, tables and items such as bicycles
and trolleys should be disinfected after every
use.
• Hand washing or sanitisation facilities will be
provided at the entrances to common areas.
• Laundry will be done according to medically
sufficient standards (with appropriate
disinfectants).
