Eucharistic Adoration Ministry of
Sault Ste. Marie
Adoration Chapel
located at Our Lady
of Good Counsel Church The Roman Catholic community of
the City of Sault Ste. Marie is privileged to have an Adoration
Chapel where Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is present at all times.
This Chapel is located in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church
at 114 MacDonald Ave. We are running into difficulties where a lot of the Adorers are
getting to an age where they are unable to attend the Chapel due to sickness or lack of transportation.
The Chapel is open from 6:00 a.m. until Midnight.
Anyone can drop in for a visit during that time; however, we
do need adorers committed to a
weekly visit for an hour.
We urgently require
an Adorer for the hours of:
-Sunday 7pm 8pm -Sunday 8pm-- 9pm -Thursday 2pm to 3pm -Saturday 1 to 2pm Please call one of the following coordinators of the Chapel if you
would like to come to the Chapel to experience the peace and tranquility of spending one
hour weekly with Jesus:
Susanne Quinn-Perron 450-7732; Angela Rasaiah 949-2208;
and Raffaela Medaglia 206-3968.
The New Evangelization Summit
An international event that will inspire thousands of Catholics to be engaged
in the New Evangelization
This two day conference will bring together speakers who are leaders in the New Evangelization to provide inspiration, encouragement, training, practical wisdom and resources on how Catholics can effectively evangelize. All Catholics – pastors, missionaries, lay ministers, and the lay faithful – will benefit immensely from this powerful opportunity to be further equipped in the fundamental mission of the Church.
Our hearts need to be set on fire with a love for Christ and a desire to make Him known. Only a person that is deeply convinced of the need for evangelization will begin to go out and do it. It is easy for our love to grow lukewarm and our hearts to grow cold. We need to be reminded and inspired regularly of the tremendous gift God has for us: to be an instrument in leading other people to salvation.
The annual NES will be held in Ottawa and streamed to 22 host-sites. Sault Ste. Marie is one of those host-sites (Catholic Education Centre, 90 Ontario St. in Sault Ste Marie). The broadcasting of the event will provide a way for Catholics from around North America to participate in the Summit. Thus approximately 5000 like minded Catholics from across the continent will be united in one goal – to be formed as evangelists and be part of a network of Catholic evangelists.
Mark your calendars for May 12-13. You can register for the summit on line at: https://www.newevangelization.ca/.The cost is $35/person and includes nutrition breaks and Saturday lunch. More information to come in the weeks ahead.
