Welcome! We are excited to have you as a part of this ministry. Whether you are visiting for the first time or have been here for years, our desire for you is that you experience the presence of God today and are challenged by the Holy Spirit to grow in your relationship with Him. Our Church Family is made up of many diverse people and cultures. We are blessed to have people from all over the world call B.P. Church home. No matter where you come from know that you are welcome here. We believe in people and in the potential we have through the working of the Holy Spirit in and through our lives. We believe the Church is more than a building. The Church is the people that make up the ministry and we encourage people to be the church, not just attend a church. To be the church we need to represent Christ to the world. We do this by being His hands and feet extended to our communities and around the world. One of our goals this year is to use our time and resources to begin to create a more known presence in our own community – we’d love for you to get involved! In John 10:10, Jesus tells us that He has come to give us life and life to its fullest. We believe God can transform any life and give that ultimate life experience no matter what a persons background is. My prayer for you is that you are experiencing that Ultimate Life or that today you start to experience that Ultimate Life Jesus has for you. Mark Williams Lead Pastor | BP Church

Our Strategy Know God | Love Others | Serve Our World

At BPC, we believe we are healthier when three kinds of relationships are found to be growing in our lives: our relationship with God (UP); our relationship with one another in our church (IN); and our engaging relationship with people in our world, near and far (GO). Jesus taught this through the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. He also modeled it in His life by how He invested His time loving others. It is our desire that we may all grow together in these three relationships as well! This is what God has willed in Heaven for us here on Earth.

Attend a Service Our most global and visible ministry is our Sunday morning service. Our goal is to see people come regularly and to be fully engaged not only in

worship, but also in how they seek to live out the Word presented to them.

Join a Group One of the best ways people can get connected here is through our Community Life Group ministry. It is our hope that a person who

attends Beddington will be involved in some kind of group that either

builds community, grows their faith, or helps them serve others.

Serve Someone As freely as we have received, freely we give, so here at Beddington we

ask our members / attendees to look for opportunities to use their gifts and serve those both here at BPC and outside our faith community.

Our upward focus revolves around our relationship with our heavenly Father and our heartfelt worship

toward Him.

We demonstrate our love for God through our inward love for each

other.

Our outward mission: finding opportunities for meaningful service and sharing the good news of our

faith in Christ with others

Pastoral Care Church Office: (403) 275-7133 | [email protected]

There will be times where we experience either great joy or we suffer hardship in our walk with the Lord. In those moments it’s important to have people come along side us and either share in that joy or offer comfort in times of need. Call the church office, (403) 275-7133 or email [email protected].

Visitation, Care and Prayer Our visitation and care team is ready to meet with those who are facing surgery, illness, crisis or challenge in their lives. If you would like a pastoral visit or need some encouragement (at the hospital, by phone, or at home), please let us know by contacting the church office.

Baby/Child Dedication Following the pattern found in the Bible, we encourage parents to dedicate their children publicly to the Lord, declaring their intent to raise their children in the ways of the Bible and commit them to God’s protection and purposes. Baby dedications take place during the Sunday morning services. Contact the church office for more info.

Weddings We believe strong marriages are essential to a strong community, and we want to do all we can to help engaged couples prepare to have a fulfilling marriage. If you desire to get married here, contact the church office.

MISSIONS | International Focus “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God's good news to one and all.” Mark 16:15

As a member church in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), Beddington Pentecostal Church partners with the de-nomination in missions ventures involving some 130 missionary families serving in more than 40 countries. From time to time, we also organize short-term mission trips designed to support and encourage our missionaries serving overseas. Beddington supports the following missionaries and organizations through financial contributions and/or intercessory prayer.

PAOC MISSIONS | John & Ruth Kerr Former pastors of Beddington Church, John & Ruth have been missionaries in Zambia since 1997. They graduate more than 30 students annually for church-planting and evangelism, reaching unreached people groups, community leaders across Zambia and beyond at Trans Africa Theological College. They also oversee programs for sustainable agriculture, community schools, prison ministry, HIV/ AIDS ministry, skills-training and much more. PAOC MISSIONS | Brian & Val Rutten Brian directs PAOC's work in Ethiopia, which includes leadership training, discipleship, evangelism, church planting and working with the Church from Ethiopia into the surrounding Muslim nations. Val operates the ChildCARE Plus program that assists 1,500 underprivileged children and families. www.paoc.org/missions PAOC & CMO | Gordon & Rita In partnership with believers world-wide, PAOC & CMO seek to glorify God by planting reproducing churches among unreached Muslim peoples. Jeff & Sarah Jeff & Sarah are living and ministering amongst a group of people in North Africa that has merely a handful of believers. Recently a number of these Christ-followers made the commitment to meet regularly for worship and have formed the first-ever church in their region. Please pray for this body of believers as they continue to form and grow. PAOC & Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada Doug & Barbara Lockhart A missionary journalist serving at Wycliffe's Canadian headquarters in Calgary, Doug manages Wycliffe's website and contributes to a variety of publicity materials including Wycliffe's quarterly magazine, Word Alive. Barbara is a counsellor, teacher and homemaker. Since 1970, they have worked with a single tribal group to learn their language and alphabet and develop a script to produce and write the language. They also produced a dictionary and a variety of literacy materials for use in an extensive literacy program. In 1988 they started an ongoing and far-reaching community development project for tribal people. The New Testament translation is in its final stages. www.sil.org Bridge to Malawi | Jordan Dowbush Bridge2Malawi is a non-traditional approach to orphan care. Children are not removed from their homes and villages to stay in a residential orphanage where they are just another child on campus. Instead, B2M works with the extended family to help care for the child. Children remain living with their guardians at home and come daily to the Kids' World Outreach Society campus for food, clothing and medical care. www.kidsworldmalawi.com SIL International | Beat & Robyn Kunz Beat and Robyn have worked with SIL in Central Africa since 2000 to provide leadership for Bible translation and literacy programs. They have three children: Tabea, Simeon and Nadja. Since August 2010, the Kunz family is living in Chad where Beat serves as Director of Language Development. SIL Chad is an NGO and works in collaboration with the Ministries of National and Higher Education, the Department of Linguistics at the University of N'Djaména, as well as with other NGOs. Its objectives are linguistic research in Chadian languages, literacy, and translation of the Bible If you would like to receive Robyn & Beat's news, please visit: www.sil.org Asia Span | B & C and Family B & C manage a branch of a consultation company that allows them to form meaningful relationships in a restricted access country.
