Project Description:Please clearly and concisely answer each question. Bulleted points are preferred. The Trust highly encourages applicants to review the Mini Pre-K-12 Environmental Education RFP before starting their application. Note that only requests that are proposing Professional Development trainings should use this Narrative Form.

1) What are the big-picture goals and the specific objective(s) of the professional development program? What issue is the focus of your training(s)?

2) Trainings and workshops should support elements of the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) model, such as the investigation of a local environmental issue, using the outdoors as a context for learning, and/or design and implementation of an action project. Please describe which elements of the MWEE model will be integrated into the training.

3) Please describe how the professional development training will increase the capacity of teachers to incorporate environmental literacy and outdoor experiences into their teaching.

4) Robust teacher professional development includes training and ongoing support in order to ensure that teachers are confident and successful implementing new content and tools with their students. Please describe:

a. the ongoing support following the training,b. how implementation of the new content and tools will be evaluated, andc. what resources teachers will have access to in order to be successful.

5) Who is the target audience? Describe why this audience was chosen?

6) What is your outreach strategy to recruit your target audience? Why was this method chosen?

7) Is this proposed professional development training an extension of an on-going or recently completed program? Describe your organization’s experience in completing similar professional development trainings.

8) Please include a Draft Agenda (if not available then please justify why). A component of all professional development trainings should be an overview of the MWEE model to ensure participants are able to use what is learned to design, enhance, and/or implement their own MWEE.
