Mind Your Beeswax came to be by my personal desire to burn clean candles in my home. I love candle light, and the warm fragrance candles give off. One day I read an article about the effects the candles I was burning can have. Most candles sold for consumer use contain Paraffin Wax; a by-product from oil refineries; contain chemical component called acrolyn which is a proven carcinogen. The American Lung Association revealed that paraffin candles, when burned, emit toxins such as mercury, lead and benzene, all harmful to the respiratory system and to the environment. I did a little research and discovered Beeswax. After some trial and error, I had beeswax candles burning bright and long. In addition to the pleasant, light scent of the candles there are several health benefits when you burn beeswax candles in your space.
