Milestone Billing Plan Configuration Milestone Billing is a billing arrangement in which a customer is billed in installments spread over a specific period of time on the achievement of a predefined milestone for a work. The difference between milestone and periodic billing is that in milestone billing, the customer has to pay the total amount in parts or installments that are not fixed because it depends on the achievement of a milestone . For example, rental billing is an example of periodic billing, and billing done on the achievement of predefined milestones during the construction of a bridge is an example of milestone billing. In milestone billing, a billing document is generated on the achievement of predefined milestones. It is a final billing in full at a particular milestone according to items sold or rendered. An example of this would be a Project Milestone, such as the completion of an architect's blue print, for which the service is invoiced. 1. Milestone Billing Plan Configuration
Milestone Billing is a billing arrangement in which a customer is billed in installments spread over a specific period of time on the achievement of a predefined milestone for a work.
The difference between milestone and periodic billing is that in milestone billing, the customer has to pay the total amount in parts or installments that are not fixed because it depends on the achievement of a milestone . Billing Plan Type -- Specifies the type of billing plan to create the milestone billing plan.
Start date -- Specifies the start date of the milestone billing plan
RefBillPlanNo. -- Specifies the billing plan number
FCode-OvervScrn -- Specifies a unique number of a screen that a user wants to navigate, after entering the data on the initial screen of the milestone billing plan.
Date Category -- Specifies the billing plan type number of the milestone billing plan, such as 01,02,03, and 04.
Online order -- Specifies the values (Blank, X, or Y) to determine whether the system generates an online bill for the milestone billing plan.

a) SALES ORDER -- VA01
Here, double click the line item
Select the Billing plan and enter your expected billing date in the billing plan view with percentage basis or value basis.

b) BILLING - VF01
Once you saved the order, go to VF01 and there you will see the billing documents which are mentioned in the sales order.
So, now you learned to process the sales order and billing with Milestone Billing plan.
