Re–branding of UP Sports Drink
broadens the target audience
of atheletes to include college
students, stay-at-home parents,
and business people.
Poster promoting the opening
of the Center for Design Practice
at Maryland Institute College of Art.
The poster was created by photocopying
and scanning a quarter centimeter squared
news paper clipping, then blowing it up
to 14” x 28”, and coloring it in Photoshop.

used give the buyer a small
sneak peak of what is inside
and at the same time creates a
feeling of surprise.

Web banners for Web Date,
which use icons and type
in a playful and humorous
manner to get the user’s
attention. By using icons,
the user is presented with
the challenge of figuring
out the message and is more
likely to remember the ad.
Poster documenting a mess
made of latex gloves that
have been hand stamped
with the word messy. Messy
is further expressed by using
the font Arial, Microsoft’s
sloppy rendition of Helvetica.
The word messy is hand-cut,
making a mess of an already
messy type-face.
Get Out The Vote PosterPoster was designed
specifically to get males
ages 18–24 to vote
in the upcoming election.

Flatland, by Edwin A. Abbott, with
annotations that help the reader
learn how to control their dreams,
and use them as a vehicle
between dimensions.
Logo for Alter, MIC A’s Experimental Fashion Show. Image includes the fashion show ticket, show banner, and show card/ flyer. The logo for the show was designed to express each of the various collections and to represent the church where the show was held.
Website for Beyond the Compass, Beyond the Square, an exhibition located
in Mt. Vernon next to the Walters Art Museum that was curated by students
and featured art by students at Maryland Institute College of Art.
forMICA: SUB A spread from forMICA. The publication was limited to two colors, neon orange and purple, and has a layer of design in gloss. This page shows a common hand sign seen around Baltimore.
Mailer created for the Historic Charles Street
Association fall members breakfast. The main
illustration is a cross–section view of Charles
Street from many years ago. The illustration
was altered a bit to give it a more modern look,
but still has all the original information, including
the names of all the old neighborhoods.
