Dear colleagues,Welcome to Milan at the 7th Euro TMJoint Congress on Temporomandibular Joint in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA).This is the seventh step of a long journey that began way back in 2009 in Oslo thanks to the intuition of T.A. Larheim to bring into an international conference a group of different specialists (pediatric rheumatologists, orthodontists, radiologists, maxillo-facial surgeons, physiotherapists) able to diagnose and treat the various aspects of the temporomandibular joints in children with JIA.In the following years and in subsequent meetings in Zurich, Kiel, Nijmegen, Aarhus and Tampere the many peculiarities of these joints, forgotten for a long time, have been increasingly identified and studied. Consequently more sophisticated study projects have been proposed by the Euro TMJ board born in these years.Today for the first time the conference will be held in a Mediterranean country and it is a great joy for us to organize it in Italy, hoping that the problems of this severe progressive disease affecting children of all ages may be increasingly known and well treated even in Southern Europe. A great thank goes to all the pharmaceutical sponsors who helped us support the financial organization of the conference and to ASST Gaetano Pini-CTO for logistics support of all the meeting rooms inside the hospital.We wish everyone a congress full of news and ideas for the future.

There will be two sessions dedicated to posters, with the presentation of six poster per session and a total amount of twelve. Every slideshow will last 5 minutes and posters will be only projected and not exhibited (it must be a Powerpoint slide).An abstract must be sent to tmjcongress2016@3000eventi.com within August 31st for selection.Confirmation of selected posters will be given by September 10th.
