Increased demand for safer grid
The hurricane “Gudrun” in 2005
75.000.000 m³ forest blew down (2500 km x 6 m stack)
More than 100,000 households were still out of power 4 days after the hurricane, it took 40 days to restore the power for all households
Sweden received 81.7 MEUR from EU’s Solidarity Foundation
The storm “Per” in January 2007
…blew down another16 Million m³
New Swedish law
After 12h interruption: each subscriber receives minimum 90 EUR, after 24h min 180 EUR
2011: Maximum interruption 24h.

HDC-A for wind farms
Optimized cable routing and excavation, saves money and time. Lessens the environmental impact.
Makes individual disconnection of turbine possible. If one turbine fails, others can continue to produce.
Up to three windmills can be connected to each cable cabinet.
Possibility to synchronize the voltage level directly in the cable cabinet – reduces the need for local substations.
Simplifies maintenance.
