DAY ONESaturday

Arrive in Moscow. You'll be met at the airport andescorted to the Metropol, a classic hotel chosen for itsexcellent location next to Red Square and the Kremlin.(The movie Dr Zhivago was filmed at the hotel.) Youllhave time to rest in your room and then, if you arent tootired, youll be invited to join our Moscow General Man-ager and her husband for an early dinner at a local pub.Over a casual meal, Lena will brief you on the daysahead and answer any questions you may have. Beforeyou leave to return to your hotel, youll receive a Moscowcell phone programmed with the numbers of our Russian

staff that you can use to reach them during your stay.

DAY TWOSunday

After breakfast in the hotel, youll be met in the lobby byour guide. Together, youll spend several hours touringMoscow. Youll have time to visit Old Arbat for a littlesouvenir shopping or tour the Kremlin and Red Square.Our guide will make sure you have lunch and get youback in your room in time to pack a small bag for the tripto Nizhny Novgorod.

The trip to Nizhny is made by train. (Getting you there intime for your jet flight is very important and the train is

the most reliable option.) Unless youre traveling with aguest or other IA customer, youll have a first classcompartment all to yourself. Dont worry. The 4 1/2hours will pass quickly. You can read, watch Russian TV,listen to music or sleep.

Waiting for you at the train station in Nizhny will be ourairbase guide and driver. Theyll take you to theAlexandrovsky Garden Hotel for the night. The hotel wasrecently named the best four-star hotel in the city.Theres a restaurant in the hotel if you want to grab a latedinner, as well as a bowling alley and casino.

DAY THREEThe Big Day!

After breakfast in the hotel, its time to fly! Youll be trans-ported to the Sokol Airbase for a day youll never forget.Youll start by meeting your pilot and going over yourflight plan. With the help of maps and jet models, helldemonstrate what youll experience and where youll fly.Youll meet the base doctor and have your bloodpressure checked. Once youre cleared to fly, youllhead for the locker room and suit up. Youll be carefullybriefed in how everything works, from the helmet visor tothe oxygen mask. Soon, youll be in the cockpit andheaded down the runway.

After your flight, youll tour the Sokol Air Museum andlearn more about the factorys 76 year history. Thenyoull head out to explore the city with our guide anddriver. Nizhny (formerly known as Gorky) is located atthe intersection of the Volga and Oka rivers and offerssome unique scenery. Our guide will take you to lunchand wont leave your side until youre ready to board yourcommercial airline flight back to Moscow.

DAY FOURTue sda y

This is a just in case day. If for any reason you cant flyon Monday, this gives you another day to complete your

flight. If its not needed for flying, you can add on anextra tour or spend the day sightseeing on your own.

DAY FIVEWednesday

After breakfast in the hotel, we'll getyou back to theairport in time for departure flight.

Your MiG Adventure will take place at the Nizhny Novgorod AircraftPlant Sokol. Nizhny Novgorod is Russias third largest city and isabout 400 km from Moscow. You can reach Nizhny from Moscow bytrain or commercial airline. We recommend going to Nizhny by trainand returning by plane.

The flight center at Sokol features a 3.5 km runway (over 11,000 ft), amedical exam room and a classroom for flight briefings. Theres evena guest lounge complete with a TV, billiards and table tennis.

Before or after your flight, youll have time to tour Sokols AirMuseum. The museum traces the companys aircraft manufacturinghistory, from 1932 to today and features static displays of an La-7,MiG-15, MiG-21, MiG-29, MiG-25and MiG-31. Several exhibitsshow what goes into the manu-facturing of amazing jet fighters.

THE AIRBASE

Who can do this? Almost anyone in reasonably goodhealth can fly a MiG over Russia. Certain age, heightand weight restrictions apply and vary with the jet. Youwill be required to provide proof of good health prior to

arriving in Russia.

When can I fly? Flights are offered all year long, butweather can be a problem in the winter months. Flightsmust be scheduled at least 50 days in advance to allowtime to receive the necessary security clearance.

Can I fly more than one jet? Yes. Choose one of ourmulti-flight packages or ask us to customize a program.

Will I get pictures or video? Youll leave the base witha collection of digital photos. Most packages also includean edited video youll receive shortly after your trip.

Who will be my pilot? The pilots at Sokol are amongthe top test pilots in the world. They are very experiencedand speak enough English to communicate with you.

Can I take someone with me to Russia? Certainly.Well make sure your guest is well cared for while youreflying. There is an additional fee to cover the cost of yourguests hotel, transfers, meals and tours. Ask for details.

Is this dangerous? Yes. But so is crossing the streetand driving to the airport. You will be required to sign arelease of liability. We use the best planes and the bestpilots and your safety is our biggest concern.
