Border relief activities are basically the delivery of in-kind humanitarian relief items on the zero point of the Turkish-Syrian border, which are donated by national or international donors.

Turkish Red Crescent started border relief activities in August 2012, following the increase in basic humanitarian needs inside Syria.

COMMUNITY CENTERS

In coordination with IFRC and UNICEF, TRC Community Center Project was initiated in 2015; with the goal to provide psychosocial support, vocational trainings, skills courses as well as referral services to Syrian people reside in urban areas of Turkey.

Cooperation with the DGMM

According to the protocol signed between the Ministry of Interior Directorate General of Migration Management (DGMM) and Turkish Red Crescent, Turkish Red Crescent was assigned to perform the needs assessment duty/monitoring in the Repatriation Centers (the names given below) run by the DGMM.

In accordance with the EU-Turkey Deal, immigrants

coming from the Lesbos, Chios and Kos islands of

Greece and arrive at the Turkish harbours are

welcomed and provided with daily food by the TRC

Aegean Regional Disaster Management.
