Joel Friederich, PMP

Joel Friederich is the Vice President of Program

Management at the Headquarters of Elbit Systems

of America. Elbit Systems of America operates in

five major geographical locations in the U.S.,

including Texas, New Hampshire, Virginia,

Alabama and Florida and is involved in

development, manufacturing and sustainment of

innovative solutions for critical mission and needs

for defense, medical and commercial aviation

markets.

Joel has 23 years of experience in commercial and

defense business and previously served in the 1st

Special Operations Wing of the United States Air

Force. In his current role leading the program

management office, he is responsible for supporting

the organizations strategic need to improve the

management of customers, program management

practices and tools across the organization by He is

also responsible for the management of the multiple

business unit portfolios and leads a range of enterprise

projects and management practices yielding positive

performance metrics in finance, program execution,

quality, and customer satisfaction.

Mr. Friederich is married and has three children,

Olivia 10, Christian 8 and Luke 6. He has served on

the Board of Directors for Florida State University

Grant Assistant Program Committee, Leon County

Research and Development Authority, Keiser

University Advisory Board and was the Tallahassee

Florida Corporate Walk Chairman for the Leukemia

and Lymphoma Society. He is an active member of

the National Defense Industry Association, Aerospace

Industry Association, and the National and Dallas /

Fort Worth Program Management Institute. He has

been a Program Management Professional (PMP) for

over twelve years and has a Masters Certificate in

Program Management from George Washington

University. He holds a Bachelors of Business

Management from the University of Phoenix and a

MBA from Texas Christian University.
