Introduction

THE GUIDELINES

A strong, cohesive brand identity is crucial to our growth and success at Microf. These standards act as a reference guide for all printed and online materials created for marketing purposes, both internal and external. Whether it be letterhead, our website, or printed in an ad, consistency is vital. All publications, correspondence and advertising that include the Microf logo should be submitted to to the Microf Marketing Department for approval before printing or submitting.

We want to welcome new individuals and present our current staff with a clear platform for communications. The following pages will outline everything you need to build consistent, cohesive communications.

Our LogoThe color logo should be used whenever possible to maintain consistency across all media. The reverse logo can be used when going on a solid green background. However, do not put the Microf logo on top of any color except Microf green.

Black & White LogoThe black logo should only be used in black and white publications, such as a newspaper. When using the black and white reverse version, make sure the background is solid black.

EXCLUSION ZONEIn order to maximize its visual presence, the logo requires a surrounding area clear of any other graphic elements or text.

The minimum excluclusion zone is equal to the width of the M. Always allow at least this amount of clear space around the logo. This will help give the logo clarity and presence.

COLORThe color shown here is the colors used in the Microf logo. The logo color should never be altered other than the black and white logo option.

APPROVED FONTSDue to the fact that the Microf logo is made up mostly of typography, the fonts used in communications are important. The following fonts should be used in all correspondence. The color of the font should also be limited to black, gray, white (when used in reverse). Green should only be used for text that is meant to stand apart from the rest of the document.
